What is your favorite soundtrack from a film?

Mine have to be Everything Is Illuminated and Underground. Oh and Koyaanisqatsi. Probably a lot more but I don't really remember soundtracks in particular.

Singles, tons of great 90's rock, even some Mother Love Bone

The Grosse Pointe Blank soundtrack is good. I've got the Lost Boys tape floating about somewhere too. Cheesey, but brings back good memories. Ooh, Dirty Dancing, can't knock it :)

28 Days Later, Across the Universe, The Truman Show, The Life Aquatic.

Garden State is the only one that comes to mind that really stuck with me.

The Grosse Pointe Blank soundtrack is good.

Give Warbie a medal, GPB is a brilliant soundtrack and so is Garden State.

Personal favourites are:

Lost in Translation
O Brother, Where Art Though?
Batman Begins Score
Royal Tennebaums
Any Thomas Newman/James Newton Howard Soundtrack

Bladerunner springs to mind almost immediately. Besides being awesome in the film, my dad's had a tape of it and played it fairly consistently since I was about 5, so it's pretty much ingrained in my childhood.

300, also. No need to elaborate on that one I hope :)

Edit - Oh, very yes at Lost in Translation. The music fit the movie like a glove, so chilled.

I enjoyed Appleseed's music. I listened to the OST of that so many times...

Oh yeah, I've got the Blade Runner OST around somewhere. Not a fan of the film but I love the music.

the crow soundtrack was quite good ..lost boys had some memorable tunes as did grosse point blank (reminds me of Breakfast club and Pretty in Pink), Singles ..also Sid and Nancy, Quadrophenia, the Wall, The Mission, Trainspotting, Bladerunner, Spinal Tap ..there's more but cant remember

Koyaanisqatsi and Powaqqatsi have some brilliant soundtracks. Gotta love Philip Glass.

"The Grid" is ****ing epic.

I enjoyed Appleseed's music. I listened to the OST of that so many times...
Oh, on the topic of anime movies - Cowboy Bebop! Nary a dull moment in the whole thing, largely owing to the stonking good soundtrack.

Is Powaqqatsi anything like Koyaanisqatsi?
Yea its supposed to be a trilogy, I cant remember what the 3rd one is called (probably couldnt spell it anyway).

I cant believe noone has mentioned:
-Requiem for a dream- or anything clint mansell does
-Motorcycle diaries.
