Yeah we've had a million of these, but I'm doing this to rise to the challenge of a certain Blue Lightning on Steampowered.

Anyway - Nova Prospekt

All of them.

Street War for me. So much ass to kick...

I used to like Ravenholm a lot, but now I just try and rush through as fast as I can.

Street war(I assume this is anti-citizen 1 & follow freeman) It doesn't get much better than returning to the city with an amped arsenal to take down legions of weak ass CPS.

I really enjoyed Point Insertion and A Red Letter Day, great introduction to the game.

There hasn't been any game I've played that has topped the introduction of Point Insertion. Awesome chapter.

Post. More.

That sounds like a mean "Hey you actually prefer storyline over actual gameplay? That surely means your IQ is higher than everyone else in here!"

;(

Anyway, the lack of ammo in Ravenholm made the chapter very enjoyable.

Street War, aka Anti-Citizen One and Follow Freeman. I love the house battles and the Strider fights. I like Nova Prospekt as well though. That's also pretty fun, apart from all the bloody annoying turrets. It's useful that throughout a majority of that chapter, you don't don't have to do much fighting; you can let your antlions do a lot of the fighting for you.

I voted street war. It had a lot of PEW PEWS and POW POWs!

Ah, but I voted Nova Prospekt. I actually just think GBalls is awesome. :p

Is BlueLightning still the same guy who loathes any ingame friendly character?

I loved that bloke

I seriously can't say which I like best.

I dislike Water Hazard and Highway 17, because both are a bit of a chore, and Nova Prospekt's really dismal. I'd said Entaglement, because I felt like it, but then I liked Anticitizen One and the Citadel levels. I think I'm going to have to go for point insertion/red letter day. Just because I can play it over and over again and still get that nostalgic feeling.

Id have to agree with most people here and say street war, nothing like being in a fullscale battle with the combine along plenty of allies, just really gets you going :D

Our Benefactors+Dark Energy. I love how Breen gets more and more panicked the closer you get to him in the Citadel. Plus the pod ride never ceases to take my breath away. And I love the portal effect in Dark Energy. Also, the Dark Energy Gravity Gun is the best weapon in the game.

Well his favourite chapter isn't winning easily so obviously the poll is rigged ;)

I voted Street War (I'm glad you combined the chapters because they are fused together in my mind), because it's just awesome. The part where you fight the striders on the rooftop (right before "head for the horse") is probably my favourite combat experience in Half-Life thus far.

Tie betwen Street War and Nova Prospekt. I voted NP though, coz I loved using the antlions!

Maybe. Maybe I'll get around to it one day. But I'm nearing 50 here! You know what it takes to do that?!

I think I need a little time-out...

Me?

My ego is fragile, if Samon didn't keep telling me that I'd have to hit someone.

Street War (Anti-citizen one and Follow Freeman) Just so fun to run around the city kicking combine ass

Nova Prospekt and Entanglement by a long shot. The entire level is fantastically made, be it the decaying, abandoned ruins of the old facility, or the newer, more advanced storage areas that makes up Entanglement. I wish we didn't have the Antlions as allies during Nova Prospekt because all the dark, ruined areas and scenes of chaos and uproar just weren't very disturbing knowing that the things that did it were on your side.

Still a fantastic atmosphere and environment, though.

I thought you were going to say you didn't like having them because you kept accidentally shooting them. Oh well, my bad! :p

Ravenholm for me. Mainly because of my great (and completely irrational) fear of zombies. For some reason zombies are one of the few things that scare me and I love to feel my adrenaline pumping whenever I can so fear is the quickest and cheapest way to get that to happen. Same reason why I watch zombie movies alot. So, Ravenholm all the way!

It's ironic that Anticitizen One (the Street War) is in first place in the poll, despite the fact that is the chapter that contains the much-loathed squad mechanic.

Nova Prospekt is my favourite chapter, but Anticitizen One is a close second, and just to clarify, I actually like the rebels, (even though they get in the way, sending them to the corner of the room temporarily helps) I even go out of my way to save them sometimes.

1st Unforseen Consequences

2nd Route Kanal, when Barney gave me the crowbar I realized that I'm finally playing HL2 after 6 years of waiting, because in the first 2 chapters I was more like "Is this really a Half-Life game?"

Jebas Christ!

I've been playing through Half-Life 2 again (as I've never completed my Orange Box version, it turns out)... and my god, I love every level.

When I look back at them, I don't particularly look forward to certain levels like Highway 17 and the like... and yet, playing them through, God, it's like sex. Sure, the first time always seems to be the best, but then every time after that...

God, I love Half-Life 2.

The first time through, you are too stressed about impending sudden and violent death to really enjoy it. When you know where the baddies are, you can take the time to really soak in the atmosphere, and the beauty of the combat physics, and all that.

I personally love Highway 17. Just something about being out in the open, hearing the wind, the "abandoned" houses, etc.

Street War and Hwy 17, I enoyed the heck out of Ravenholm. It was challenging to see how many crabheads you can take out with one sawblade.

I've played Half Life 2 so many times that I'm bored with most of these. :(

I usually say that Ravenholm and Follow Freeman are the two best. Nova Prospekt completely blows before Alyx shows up.

Water Hazard is good, but so is Nova Prospekt, and Street War, and Coast... oh, let's face it, they're all the best.
