my fave: Nemesis by Shriekback

Priests and cannibals! Prehistoric animals!
Everybody happy as the dead come home!
Big black nemesis! Parthenogenesis!
No-one move a muscle as the dead come home!

runner up

Burn by the Cure from the Crow soundtrack

come on peoples surely you like halloween type music

here's another pick

Bela Lugosi's dead: Bauhaus

White on white translucent black capes
Back on the rack
Bela Lugosi's dead
The bats have left the bell tower
The victims have been bled
Red velvet lines the black box
Bela Lugosi's dead
Undead undead undead
The virginal brides file past his tomb
Strewn with time's dead flowers
Bereft in deathly bloom
Alone in a darkened room
The count
Bela Logosi's dead
Undead undead undead

Monster Mash by Bobby Pickett?

Y'know, monsters... getting together... having a good time... keeping their evil in check...

that's close enough ..not spooky but acceptable halloween music

Haloween by the Misfits. Quite obviously. Also, Fall Children by AFI.

"Bark at the Moon"? Not about Halloween but about a Warewolf, so close enough for me.

I agree that his falsetto is a little bit strange, but I was really into his music for a while. He is actually a capable singer, and his falsetto is excellent... just takes some time to get used to. It is strangely beautiful in a lot of situations, though. And, musically, both the bands he's in are quite good.

ya I'm a little biased cuz I'm basing it mostly from king diamond circa mid 80's when I was into heavy metal like iron maiden/judas priest ..at the time thrash metal/gothic metal/whatever the hell you want to call it was starting to become somewhat popular and the metal scene was a little fractured between old school metal and the new metal that was taking over (which is probably why I stopped listening to metal all together) ..I remember seeing a king diamond video and saying "wtf is that?" ..metal to me was ramones jeans and leather not makeup and leather ...kinda freaked me out a bit ;)

ozzy! I saw that tour ..Jake E Lee was awesome

Type O Negative - Black No 1

The first bit where the weird guitar kicks in reminds me of an empty theme park at night for some reason. Amazing song. LISTEN TO IT NOW.

heh well that and his insane screeching followed by a gutteral "I'll cut your neck", followed by more insane screeching

Mines would have to be Halloween - Helloween

Coz Helloween rock the block.
