You know when you KNOW you're sitting still, but you feel like your falling or something?

Well right now it feels like I'm sliding backwards towards a cliff or something..starting to creep me out.

I'm feeling like I'm 2 posts off 1000. haha.......... ha

When I sit without moving for like 30 minutes I feel like my arms are twisting, and it doesn't hurt.. kinda of wierd to explain...

BTW, I just reached 2k, madog.. ha ha

well I only come here like once every 2 weeks (sometimes more frequent) and just go on a posting spree.

I feel like falling off a cliff in real life...

Are you buzzed?

I get the feeling sometimes when I am about to fall asleep, then I jerk in shock and I can't sleep again for a while, lol.

Yeah, I get that too :D

I like it.

lol yup get all of that, quite funny really =D

maybe lay off the dope for a while.

and that maddog thing was mean but funny.

I only ever get that falling feeling when i'm dozing. I'll suddenly jerk up and then drift back off into full, complete slumber. Freaky though.

You know that feeling when you're leaning back in your chair, but then you lean to far and start to fall, but you catch yourself just in time?

I feel like that all the time.

Well I've heard that if you feel like you're falling you could have heart problems!:O

Do you have nausea as well?
Could be an inner ear infection (control of balance)
Or low blood pressure could cause it, or drugs.

Its called a myoclonic jerk. When dozing off your blood pressure drops and sometimes the body mistakes that for you dying and sends a shock to all your muscles in one go...awaking you up.

Better explaination. http://www.faqs.org/faqs/dreams-faq/part2/section-5.html

I sometimes feel like I'm falling when I'm lying in bed.

@Costyn a medic?

When I had the flu last year I would wake up every now and again and everything would seem really far away. So yeah, I was falling backwards from all my room basically. Was scary. I threw up from it a few times.

I dont really get that feeling a lot, but i do get a bit short of breath or feel a tad bit faint in the head for a bit, but then for a long time (like a year) i am fine. I think its low blood pressure, because my mum and my sister have it, and it sort of gets a bit lower than normal sometimes, i usually go and practice karate when that happens and it fixes it. Plus i actually found out its better to have lower blood pressure genetically because it means you are less likely to have heart attacks or strokes in later life, apparantly all athletes have it, and i think with all the karate and competitions i have done and currently doing could be the reason.

Oh and that falling down feeling or whatever, is similar to a rush of blood to the head (when you have been lieing or sitting down for a long time a stand up), dont worry you little heads about it ;)

You know that feeling when you're laying in your bed at night, not quite sleeping but not quite awake either, and then you dream you're slipping or falling or something, causing a really violent twitch?

I feel like that all the time.

I thought this was going to be a thread about how you're in debt or your life sucks or something.

Well its obviously common so quite worrying about it lol

god i love that feeling, being half asleep and half awake, and you can sometimes make yourself dream about stuff. i dont have it when i'm awake though.

according to my other half i twitch alot when i sleep, but i've noticed i do that all the time, like when i'm in the cinema, i get little twitches.

Only bad thing is, whatever your dreaming of, you think it's real. So if you're running from someone who's trying to kill you, you're screaming and trying to run too!

:(

i think you're talking about night terrors, i only had them a few times. nasty. but i'm talking about just being in between sleeping and waking, wich i love.

like when you wake up and your really drowsy and you just let yourself slip away..

so is being a jerk riom. i think what he meant is if it's common there's no need to worry. like puberty, or hiccups etc. if you were the only one it would be worrying, but as it's common - no need.

Ahh i love that feeling, your dreaming something you can control to some extent and slowly open your eyes to see someone going

'Yo, Ev, wake up dude we're in Computing still'

:E

...guess that explains my D in computing then

Sometimes when i'm half asleep and i've been rolling around a lot.. and my legs cross...it feels like I can't move them. Like there stuck. It feels like no matter how hard I try they wont move. I can feel the blanket touching them and everything. I can move them back and fourth but not off of eachother. My heart starts racing and then I can move them off of eachother.

It's really wierd, like a mental block. Similarly, When i'm playing Soccer, I can be running and have perfect position to kick the ball into the goal......but I just can't. I simply cannot kick the ball and have to keep on dribbling.

Precisely, no body is perfect, and everyone experiances really weird feelings here and there, like on a really hot day, a get indoors and you can like feel your head throbbing lmao

yeah try being an adolescant girl, puberty really sucks for us. it can be pretty scary.

LETS ALL TALK ABOUT A GIRLS FIRST PERIOD!!! HOW'S THAT FOR A WEIRD NEW FEELING?

Sometimes I'll be sitting in a chair doing something normal, when I'll randomly jump as though I were going to fall. The worst is when I'm dozing at school, I lay my head down, and I make a violent twitch and get everyone's attention.
