Got any good bands where the singer is female?

Note I said GOOD.

I've been listening to last.fm and there was this one song (I forget the song) by a band called the Guano Apes (wierd name), it was a pretty good song, female singer, she was good.

Although, maybe it was just that one song, I don't know. I never heard anything else from them.

I like how you emphasize that they have to be good and then as an example you have Guano Apes *facepalm*

anyways different people different strokes, check out out:

Tori Amos

Regina Spektor

Skunk Anansie

The Dresden Dolls

Tracy Chapman

all have very talented and powerful female vocalists.

The Raveonettes - one of my personal favorites out of these it's like a fat, distorted 'modern' 1960's sound - . If you liked the pulp fiction soundtrack, you might dig this shit here. (this one is a male/female duet)

Wurdalak (Melodic [Spanish] Metal) (a little amateurish with the production, but insanely talented and just plain have a great sound)

Paramore (alternative rock) I love at least one of their songs, haven't heard too much though

Teardown (melodic metal band, not the hatemetal band) Loads of potential, and enjoyable but don't have a breakthrough song yet

Evanescence -

Sigur Ros

Lita Ford (hard rock) check out her greatest hits, chances are you will like one of these songs that are falling into classic rock territory.

Well, like I said, it was only one song I've heard from them which was pretty good imo, I just can't remember what it was, it was on Last.fm.
