They just played the video.... I guess I have no reason to get a PS3 for FFXIII anymore.

Microsoft won this year's announcement with that last announcement.
 
So everything sans gears of war can be had on any other platform, ff13 is still coming to ps3 also, there was no exclusivity, microsoft completely ripped off the wii mii structure, brought forth a shat singstar clone... I honestly wasn't impressed with any of it. The fact they have ff13 doesn't sweeten the pot at all.
 
This is great news, as long as it still comes to the PS3. Now they just need to bring it to the PC.

Wow that sux for Sony, if MGS4 got a port then I'd be a very happy camper. Sony need some good exclusives fast.

Except for that Wii Mii's and Singstar were shit to begin with, so why even bother bringing them into the equation? I don't care if they're bringing out clones of them simply because I never cared for them in the first place.

Not to mention Wii Mii's are hardly a unique item anyway, nor is some crappy video game karaoke machine.

Oh wow, I played it on the PC first and after that I just couldn't stomach the PS1 version with it's lack of AA. I LOVED the PC version to hell.

Are you serious? The mii's being able to be your avatar in different games etc., was a great idea and implemented very well. Also singstar, singtore and singtarscene is a LOT of fun, have you ever actually played it? It looks 1000x better than lips.
 
Wow, avaters in games! Yeah, kinda cool I can recreate myself as a small little bobbled headed man with the only noticable 'me' feature being the colour of my hair or the fact I've a beard and all my other friends Mii's don't, but honestly, I couldn't give a damn about them in any way shape or form, but thats just me.

And yeah, I have played Singstar. It's a karaoke game, it really isn't anything OMGWTF mindblowing and I have no intention to worry about ANOTHER one being brought out because it doesn't appeal to my tastes. Furthmore, fun for five minutes games (or games that are fun when drunk then not at all afterwards) are the worst type of games if you ask me.

But fair enough if you enjoy these and you've all the right to be pissed that more of the same is coming. I just didn't think anyone actually cared about these mediocre gimmicks.

Hahaha! But not in Japan. Poor Microsoft. They might as well stop selling the thing there. PS3 sales will EXPLODE because of this in Japan and 360 sales will get ever smaller. So weird. Fans of FF in the US are Playstation owners and it would sell systems. 360 owners are not exactly the biggest RPG fans in general, so why not sell it in for the 360 in Japan and Microsoft will reward you because it will undoubtedly sell systems?? I don't get these guys. The days of thrid-party exclusives are indeed pretty much over.

This is great. With it coming out on the 360 there is a real chance it will come out on the PC, as most good 360 game eventally do.And there's no Sony to stop them.
This news is no surprise though, Square have been complaining about financial problems for a while. And with the PS3 selling as it is, they need the 360.
 
This is a surprise. For me though, I still see no reason to buy a 360 over the PS3 this fall. FF13 was just one of the big titles I was waiting for. Hopefully tomorrow we'll see God of War 3 and the Team ICO project make an appearance. Possibly this will prompt Sony to make a price cut. Unlikely, but I can hope.
 
All thats left now is God of War III if that goes to 360 as well Im selling my PS3!

UNPOSSIBLE!!!! Actually, it would require for either MS to buy Sony, or for Sony to sell the rights. God of War is owned by Sony :p

Ya I just realized that :rolling: but as of now its the only reason I have a PS3. O well heres to hoping for some new exclusives.
 
Well there is always the secret Rockstar exclusive (NOT L.A. Noire) or maybe the one that journalists a few months back were raving wildly about (Tears of Blood?), not to mention Heavy Rain. Since the days of third party exclusives are all but dead, Sony is frankly in much better shape than MS as their internal devs are insanely talented and responsible for a great number of hugely successful franchises.

Tomorrow should be very interesting, but clearly MS is not going down without a fight, esp. in their home territory. :LOL: FFXIII not coming to the 360 in Japan is a very clear statement by Squeenix imho. ;)
 
I would make fun of playstation but I dislike FinalFantasy too much

My care-o-meter must be broken it didn't register even a blimp of interest in this.
 
Oh well. Good for the 360. As long as it doesn't bottleneck then in tech.
 
That video brings to light some very real issues and frightening shortcomings of gamers everywhere who are too deeply emotionally invested in their console of choice. Potentially very dangerous and always very scary (esp. if you choose differently).

FF Vs XIII is still a PS3 exclusive as far as I know, so why be so damned sad about this? If MS gamers want to play any of the other ones, they have to play on consoles other than MS's anyway, so what is the problem here?
