I think its humorous that it castro seems to outlived any leader from the early cold war era.....despite the numerous assination attempts against him....

So yes, topical - They said Fidel was dead for a long time, so they published pictures of him very much so alive in a trendy tracksuit. Not sure if they are just making news stories for him right now, or if he's really ill?
 
I feel sorry for the poor guy because the guy has a statue of John Lenon in cuba & he went to see Pope John Paul II when the pope was alive as well as going to his funeral & wake.

He was a good man for the most part & he had a heart.

I don't think he should, considering that it's disestablishmentarian.

And it doesn't mean what I suspect Numbers thinks it does. It's a person who favours the separation of church and state.

In a way yes, President Bush is like Stalin. :| Taking innocent people into "sleeper prisons" and torturing them is kinda Stalinist.

Bush tortures innocent people in secret prisons, no? Bush sends the armed forces to the Middle East then tries to push our views into their society all while thousands of people die, while creating new terrorists all over the world just for oil, no? ;)

# 1 - Who says they're innocent? Could be suspected terrorists holding valuable info. Trying to get info from them to save the lives of others?

# 2 - Define our views, we're forcing them to change their religion? Trying to create a government fair to all races & religions? Pushing to have both male & female treated equally? If that's pushing our views, hell I'm fine with that

# 3 - Personally opinion about the oil, he may or may not have, up to you to decide.

Ulgh, hope this doesn't turn into a political debate
 
I first thought this thread was going to be about how Fidel Castro has gotten sick and tired of bad reception on his bannana phone.
