Fileplanet bf2142 BETA RELEASED ZOMFG

I got in but I have to wait until the third week of august :O
 
Damn FileNazi has made me sign up. :hmph: I read the user agreement carefully and here is the major thing that stood out. You may think buying the $5.32 option and cancelling right after the beta is smart. But actually you will still be billed the full $15.95 and they will continue to bill you until you cancel 5 days prior to the renewell. Also if you cancel right after, you will be billed still the $15.95 and the service will end automatically when the next renewell comes. So I say if you want to play with some halflife2.net'ers then pay for it. But just remember that you gotta cancel your subscription or else they will keep on billing. With the basic option you get:

I played about an hour last night.

looking to play again in a few mins. hopefulyl some US servers are up.

You can really tell this is only a beta. The game is definetly a WIP. But it seems to be stable.

So looks like whoever got in- was lucky. You other people will probably have to wait till next week.

Im just saying - They have a few easily corrected mistakes.

For example- some voice overs - the text form show something like M_PLAYER_Spotted_walker.wav or something like that in the chat rather than the actually having correct text. easily correctable. Im just saying its not as polished as the bf2demo last year. but this game is amazing. Titan mode is so much fun. I just got promoted twice and unlocked stuff. weee

exactly my point =p
im just using a camparison because people in this forum seemed to be confused when I said it had some minor bugs and its obvisouly a big WIP.

Yes, I know that ... I was just wondering in what aspects it's still a work in progress. I haven't played the game proper yet, but I did find out that there isn't a 1280x1024 resolution and my name is already taken! My in-game name is now Catalina with DUDE as a clan tag. See you online.

Just watched a 20 minute video on some site. Looked awesome. ;( Hope a public release comes out soon.

I didn't particularly like it. Yes, I know, it's a beta, but it just doesn't feel right. It's like playing a reasonably well done BF2 mod. Not impressed. Being disconnected every five minutes didn't help either.
 
It's a "tuning" beta- they are taking community feedback to see any weapon/vehicle balancing issues. afterwards the combat will feel better.

I personally think titan game mode is just so much fun for battlefield. If the titan gamemode was not in it... I think I might have just decide on not buying it.


Titan mode WILL replace conquest.

Have fun with a torrent because you need an activation CD-key to load up the game. It wont even open untill it authenticates your key with EA.

SEcond- You will need a bf2142 EA account

and third- You can even run your own LOCAL server.
So you wont be able to even join your own lan server because its disabled o0

I tried making Cyberpitz joining the beta but he won't. He's jealous because I don't play as much as him but I'm still getting the beta. And he doesn't want to pay $15 just for a beta. C'mon pitz you know you wanna control that mech and shoot down a battle jet. :naughty:
 
So dose anyone know how long this beta thing is going to last?
 
Be sure to d/l some of the Crysis videos that are exclusive to us. Can we get a server going up that can host files that people request? Fileplanet has an early HL2 beta that I don't think anybody has seen before.
