Films/TV Shows that others love and you hate.

Alien
Aliens
Star Wars (except episode 2)
Sin City
Sixth Sense
Seven Samurai

TV
DragonBall Z
Naruto
Firefly

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I was expecting a lot more from it going by the reviews I'd heard and from what other people said about, but I was actually pretty disappointed with it TBH. When I told my brother what I thought of it he was very surprised, so he obviously thought it was very good.

I didn't know that anyone really liked the harry potter movies

Well, apparently someone must like them if they keep making so much money from them. If no-one watched them they wouldn't bother making all seven books into films.

The only reason I liked Juno at all is because it reminded me of someone very close to me. Other than that the film is ridiculously overrated.

Still haven't seen Juno, I take it's another Paramount Vantage movie?
Those are usually pretty slow movies but very much watchable.

Also, putting Sunshine up there.
Expected a horror movie and got hammered with a bunch of scientific techno-babble that didn't even make any sense and boredom.

Movies:
LOTR
Harry Potter
Iron Man
Transformers
Alien

TV shows:
Firefly

WTF? I thought exactly the opposite.

I was hoping for an engrossingly realistic sci-fi movie, and instead was hit with burned-skin slasher man.

oh come on, the burned skinned man was for like the last 15minutes of the film. I hate how people call it a horror film...it was anything but. I really enjoyed sunshine.

At the risk of being hated:

alien vs predator (both)

I didnt see all the hype but I sure as hell didnt hate the movies, I mean they were okay but I suppose they just didnt appeal to me.

AvP 2 was atleast fun to watch though.

Movies:
Boondock Saints
No Country for Old Men
Transformers
Superbad
Star Wars
Lord of the Rings
Aliens VS Predator
The Hulk

Television:
Family Guy
The Simpsons

I would have mentioned AvP were it not for the fact that it seems to be universally hated, by critics as well as fans.

An ending can ruin an entire movie, and No Country accomplished that with a gold star.

Well hey its the way the book ends, im glad they didn't go with some bullshit "He gets away, the bad guy dies, the cop retires job well done woo! Happy ending!"

So anyway,

Movies:

Donnie Darko
Boondock Saints (Holy shit is this overrated, I like it but come on)
Transformers
I am legend

TV:
House

I dont watch much TV aside from lost and heroes, and I tried to get into House but eh...something about it.

TV
Smallville (Kristin Kreuk would be my only initiative to watch it)
One Tree Hill (Same as above, except its mai waifu, Sophia Bush)
Heroes
Lost (watched the 1st season, then gave up)
Family Guy

Motion Pictures
Napoleon Dynamite
Pixar Movies

LOST

just had a whole season with no progression.

An ending can ruin an entire movie, and No Country accomplished that with a gold star.

Then you pretty much missed the point of the entire film.

Someone else said:

Totally forgot about this one. Yeah, Juno is alright film but it is vastly overrated. Teen pregnancy dramedy where absolutely everything ends perfectly for everyone involved, and the actual comedy is one or two barely witty one-liners. How the **** did that film win an oscar over other, better written films like Michael Clayton and Lars and The Real Girl?

TV Shows:
House
Grey's Anatomy
Sopranos (it's not a bad show, but definitely not as good as people make it out to be)
Desperate Housewives
Life on Mars

Movies:
Goodfellas
Borat
Star Wars

The Fifth Element, absolutely overrated crap. It wasn't even funny.
