Did anyone else watch it? And was anyone else expecting to see Davros when we heard ''They survived through me'' offstage last week?

I wanted to see Davros. :( Yes, he was probably killed in the Time War, but he's the TRUE emperor of the Daleks, not that big crab-like Dalek we saw yesterday.

But still, good episode. The new Doctor was revealed at the end, looks identical except for the face/hair. Didn't the Doctor's in the old ones appear after 'death' in their new clothes for the series? (E.G. Slyvestor and the umbrella, suit, Tom Baker and the scarf, etc) Mm, anyway.

Yeah, i watched it, qualty cant wait for the next series!

Absolutely and truely amazing, a great light hearted sci-fi show that doesn't rely on special effects to sell itself.

Damn you, Up to episode 6 this weekend down here.

Dr. Who is a great series though. My fathers a collector. Currently building a Dalek in our shed.

Ah... well, yes. Heh, good episode. :)

Just to point out, in the second show, there are more special effects shots than in Gladiator.

This show is full of SFX, just theres so much of it, it doens't always look as good as other shows

I saw it and thought it was quite good. I'm new to Doctor Who, but I thought it was a good sci-fi series. I can't wait for the next series with the new Doctor. Though I think I liked Eccleston during his run.

The Cybermen had best be in the next series. I have my hopes as the next series starts with 'The Christmas Invasion' - Cybermen invasion please.

First Dalek episode. Anywhoo episode 7 in two days.

I'll try and find a working digi camera for those pics. The main body is basicly finished ie orbs (semi spheres of plaster) and the head looks about done too ie meshing.

Apart from diving into the world of servo motors and actually controlling it we're working with a Dalek voice box aka Darth Vader voice box.

H2-oh yeah!

YES! ;(

Which reminds me of the time when I visited the BBC museum in London. They had the front half of a dalek casing complete with voice-garbler box, so I got inside it and started shouting 'YOU! IN THE HAT! EXTERMINATE!" at random people.

Yeah I heard that Cybermen will make a definite return, the BBC has also confirm that they will be commissioning a 3rd series of Dr Who by there leaving it at that for know since series 2 has barley gone into pre production.
