Here is the quick evolution of the HL2 release dates... lemme know if I missed any

Date - Date Announced

Sept 30th 2003 - @ announcement date
Winter 2003 - Sept 31st 2003
March 2004 - Sometime during the winter
Summer 2004 - March 2004
When its done - beginning of summer
When we feel like it - when the RC was sent to VUG


I dont think its entirely accurate (all a big fuzz now) but I've gotta be close

i know. point is, you can't really patent the idea of having infantry and vehicles in a game. i suppose the star wars battles on hoth and endor were a rip off of world war 2 movies because they had infantry and vehicles fighting together :thumbs:

true, in the end, it's like wise men said, nothing is created, only transformed. Every single game is derived from another game. Are they less fun because of that? well it's a matter of opinion. I think if Star Wars Battlefront had been made by EA Games as part of the Battlefield series it would have been better received. But unfortunately, LucasArts hogs all things Star Wars related, and now people accuse Battlefront of being a BF1942 ripoff. So in a way, it's all a matter of perspective.
