Finally Boling Point review......

This game is going to have to be on my wait list since San Andreas comes out soon.

After the Patch the game still pauses every now and again,
Cars still dissapear (I parked my car look away for a sec and went to get in it and it was gone)

Aiming is still funny, But i can run it at 1600x1200 with 8xaa 8xaf and i get about 30-50 fps. I would like it more if it didnt pause so much.

Also snake hunting is fun, I wasted hours hunting down snakes and killing them with my knife. ;)

Well it can be fun, Walking sucks!. You get tired and sleepy and that affect your aiming, If you loose your car in the woods your stuck with walking around for hours trying to find a town.

Ill admit that it needs alot of work (Maybe 5 more patches) but you can have fun, like swimming with piranhas, or walking through the woods and suddenly a snake jumps you.

Id say give it a try, You can uninstall it when GTA SA comes out.

I'm glad Sand Andreas is coming out. Now by the time I get around to buying Boiling Point hopefully the shit will be fixed.

well after some tweeking ive got the game running smooth, Exept when im in town then it pauses every few min.
Ive just got the Aug. (Been using the Ak)
Driving still has a few bad bugs. sometimes for no reason at all the car will spin around to the oppisite direction. I have used a car as a boat because it didnt sink. :) And i have landed an air plane on a river. :)

this game blows im so stupid for buying it. so many bugs very laggy with my system

The game itself isn't at all that bad, however i agree the bugs need to be ironed out and the engine needs to be better optimised. Hopefully they'll sort it out with two or three major patches then it'll be sweet :D

When was the last time a buggy game was patched to perfection? Yeah. NEVER.

That's the exact reason why I won't be buying this (or any other bugged-out-of-the-box) game. The developers aren't bedroom coders, cobbling together a game in their spare time and selling it themselves, they're full time professionals that have a contract with a serious publisher.

They have no excuses.

Not perfection but I do remember quite a few DOS games that were patched to near perfection having been released buggy as hell, either by the community or by the devs.:)

Cmon, man. DOS-games!??!? Most people on this forum weren't even born when those were around. The code has gotten too big. Why isn't this game working properly? Coz it's scope is so grand, it's impossible for a studio with modest means and a twitchy distributor, to release something nearly perfect. Hopefully the patch will come .... I'm not buying this game until it's online and proven itself.

True, lets just hope S.T.A.L.K.E.R. doesn't end up this way, I actually doubt it, seeing as THQ doesn't seem to be to demanding on release date from GSC.
I have a feeling BP was rushed to a May release because that was STALKERS previously announced date, so perhaps they felt they had to compete with STALKERs date, and when they found out STALKER was delayed they felt they didn't want to delay their game.
This is just speculation tho.
But considering that the guys that made BP previously worked on GSC there might be some sort of "rivalry" or "competition" between the two.

I ment HOPEFULLY they will patch it so its playable not perfection :hmph:

No games are perfect to begin with, let alone after many patches. A good example of a buggy game being patched to something far improved and more playable is Battlefield 1942. It can be done, but to 'perfection' is just silly.
