Yep.

Basically, my previous system was an AMD1.4GHz/geforce3 and I didn't really want to play the game unless it was in all its glory. That is, if that could even run it.

So, with the addition of a new system under my power last week, I quickly and excitedly installed the sequel to my favorite single player game.

I've been waiting for a long time to do this. I distinctively remember the day it came out and everyone was posting about it and how much anticipation I had until then with all the delays and such.

I think it's pretty sweet.

I can only really say that I haven't had so much all-out fun in a game for as long as I can remember. There were parts of the hovercraft thingie part that left me thinking "this is awesome." Like when some old car flew at me or that massively tall tower fell down and I was wondering if I was gonna get crushed or make it over it.

I'm only at Ravenholm now and am using the little ball from which I got when I started playing catch w/ Alex's dog. It's an awesome sort of reusable ammunition with the grav gun as it only breaks in explosions/fire and always returns to me(or tries to).

I've had to stay clear of spoilers and crap til now but can't wait to continue the game tomorrow :D

Err, anyways... It sounds incredible in DTS 5.1 and I think the music is done perfectly. I dont' think I've ever enjoyed in-game music like in Half-Life games.

So, I guess this is my belated "I just got it, and it's incredibly awesome" post.

Glad you got to play it finally. But holy shit how do you wait that long?

Heh, damn i never actually considered using Dog's ball as a weapon afterwards. That would be awesome since it goes back to you. Sweet im gonna try that when i play it again.

Janet Reno plays HL2!!!
Now I don't know what to think :|

Indeed it is, but without knowing how to exploit the game engine, the game forces you to leave any objects behind towards the end of Ravenholm (there's a lame invisible volume that makes you drop stuff as you pass through it). Some people have managed to keep the ball with them to quite late in the game, but I'm not sure how they do it.

I've found it's very easy to continue with the ball. You just have to be determined not to lose it :)

Belated by 2 years lol :cheese:
More like 1 year and 5 months, plus some days.
Congratulations, Janet Reno. You gotta have alot of selfcontrol to keep yourself from playing it this long. That's admirable.

I lost the ball while at the end of Ravenholm when Gregori moved that platform for me. I guess the wall got me.

I was ok with leaving it, because, it was sort of overpowered =p
Plus, the change of using cinder blocks and circular saw discs is nice as well.
Basically, if you drop the ball, all enemies forget about attacking me and try to kill the ball(which they can't). Leaving me free time to kill them all off at my own will.

Anyways, I'm at the dune buggy part. Man, that thing is fast. I can't even turn with the turbo on.

So far it has all been awesome. I pretty much recognize some of the parts exactly as they were shown in some of the vidoes released before the game was way back when.

I'll probably buy episode 1 as soon as it comes out. The game has truly impressed me.

After you finish the game, be sure to hold a dance party. Just like the SNL skit.

Janet did you find it totally annoying that the machien gun was weaker and less accurate than the pistol?

wow it's a bit late

After Ravenholm, everything gets so much better.

The Coast part will take forever. You'll have to shoot it down the road, drive up in the car, repeat.

Make sure you save a lot, incase it falls into the water.
