Firefox image viewing problem..

Whenever I would open up moultiple *anything more than 1* images in new tabs..Firefox bogs down as if I'm running 500 programs at one time. I'll click on something in FF, and it will take around 1 minute to actually get to work. When the images are out of the tabs, everything is fine...anybody else got this problem?

I've got the newest version btw.

For some reason my images won't even load. I don't have any popup blockers or anything on. I am confused.
