Firework Store explosions

sry if this has been posted, but i did a search

wow this is one big firework shop exploding..its like war...in the middle he sits down on the roof and watches the show....man....this is crazy...a firework shop near where i live blew up about 6 years ago....a couple months after i got some....
pretty crazy?? what do u think? the ending he suffered a concussion??? can anyone translate that guy?
 
That was awesome!

The guy at the ended spoke in a sad way, perhaps the last explosion really hurt the guy filming/killed him?
 
i kno...it was freaky.....the middle was like WAR...explosions and everythingy

I hope that guy is OK though .. that shockwave looked rather nasty. :/

im sure he got whatever he deserved for standing next to a fireworks factory in the process of exploding.
 
Wow... I've wondered what that'd be like... some huge explosions there... enough to knock him down from a good distance!
 
After that first big explosion, when the camera panned up to the sun..... that looked awsome.
 
That really was an amazing video, I've never seen anything like it before.

Dang, I really did read that somewhere, but now I can't find any articles on it. Sorry. I'll try to see if I can't find it again.
 
that was pretty cool, but i dont think this is very respectful to the guy filming, i mean were here drooling over the video and he died in the process.
 
Woah, holy shit... never new fireworks could go up in such a bang...

poor guy...

I would have leftt the camera and started running.
 
Err in retrospect, a mod should edit out the link in respect to the person who died :(
 
Wow, i just watched it, that last explosion made me feel quite sad because i know what that would have done to him. Like the apache video, this is worth discussion but im afraid keeping the link would not be appropriate.
 
the fireworks looks amazing.. but not worth a person's life for sure.. i hope the camera man dying is just a rumour..

Well I don't think anyone was drooling over the film because he died (which would be awful), it's just an amazing thing to see happen (the explosion that is), a display of tremendous power the likes of which you hardly ever see.

tragic ending :(
but I have to wonder what the hell that guys was doing filming in such a war zone.
 
Maybe he started it....Who knows, he could have just been filming birds, perhaps he heard it start and was quick to think in bringing a camera.

It was quite scary the size of the blast, i feel so sorry for the guy because really he cant be held at fault and he didnt deserve it. Its worse because i can almost imagine what must have gone through his head the very second that it expanded towards him...at least i can imagine what i would probably think.

For some reason this reminds me of that volcano blast where the people filming died. They had filmed volcanoes a lot and knew their stuff, but one time for some reason the wind changed or something and the blast turned towards them. As soon as it did, one of them just said in a relatively calm tone "We're gone". They knew they were gogin to die and they had no way of escaping....the film was recovered after they had died.

Oh, I didn't mean to sound cruel talking about his death, I hope you didn't take it like that.


I have heard from many people who were in situations where they either thought they were going to die, or were with someone at the end, and everyone seems to agree that your last feelings aren't really fear, just acceptance With the man in the video, it was so fast, that he probably didn't even comprehend what was happening. I don't really like to talk about it, but I have been in a situation where I thought that I was, without a doubt, going to be killed, strange enough, I wasn't scared or anything, rather a calmness came over me, and I just accepted it. Obviously I didn't die, but I was convinced I was going to.
 
Where did this happen? Haven't seen the video.
But here (holland) a fireworks storage in a city blew up and leveled a few blocks of houses, about 20 people were killed as far as I can remember. It was filmed too, you could see people running from the fire ball and all.
 
Its scary that in a film that scene you described PvtRyan, would actually be quite good but when its in real life it doesnt seem to cool.
 
farrowlesparrow umm...you removed my link and now my pm box is filling up...i can hold about 5 more pms..lol.... j/k i will just delete...all my precious history(crys) :( he suffered a concusion i dont think he died...if he died...they wouldnt have the film for the camera....

I believe the link should be kept up. The topic isn't "Cool! This guy died!" it's "That is incredible". Just my 2 cents. :)

What makes you think the camera man died? Unless someone can present a news article or translate the speaker at the end , Im going to have to say that his camera was most likely knocked out of commision by the shockwave , and he was probably beat up. I saw no evidence of shrapnel though , which is what would have killed him. Perhaps the shockwave could have.

I find something like this disturbing, and sad.. IF a camera man died, and a guy got a concussion, my first response wouldn't be that it was the greatest thing I've ever seen.
 
I can't believe that link was removed. What the Hell is this?! Jesus, feels I'm reading the 'Letters' section of the newspaper with all those bitchy, over-reacting whiners who get offended too easily. I try to aviod being mean, but damn...

Well, see this fits into the "brave but stupid" category. If you were standing 50 feet away from 20,000 lb of explosives about to go off, would you run or stay there and film?

Plus there was an earlier, smaller explosion that knocked him over, so it's not like he didn't know the danger he was in.
