First Duke Nukem Forever Screenshot Released!

It has been around 10 years in the making and a lot of humor. Finally it looks like the dust covered blanket it slowly being pulled off of the vaporware game. The president of 3D Realms has released this in-game screenshot of Duke Nukem Forever:

Spotted in a Gamasutra job listing and then discussed in a Shacknews forum, a puny proof of life for 3D Realms' perpetually unreleased Duke Nukem Forever has now been placed under the internet's collective microscope. "That's an in game, real-time shot of Duke standing in a random hallway," says George Broussard, posting on the official 3D Realms forums. "I'm glad some of you enjoyed it, and we'll show more later as we start to wake from our slumber and decide how best to show the game off."

For a start, bigger screenshots would be nice.

System Specs: They are going to be steep. DO NOT buy hardware for the game now!! If you do that, you're likely to be annoyed when it's actually released. When we have specific information as to what the requirements will be, you'll know. In the meantime, wait until it's done and see where things are then.

It's hard to really tell how the graphics look from such a small screenshot but judging from the comment about PC specs needed to play this game it is likely that this game will be one of the major players this year or next year (assuming it actually comes out) and perhaps may give Crysis a run for it's money in the graphics department. Being a Duke Nukem fan I look forward to seeing more on this game.

To be fair, they didn't really release it with this intent of showing it off to the world... It was made to advertise a job.
