What was your first forum?

For me, this was my first. Before then, I had heard about them, but didn't know what they were really all about.

But it seems like such a long time ago, and I've learned more after I joined then I have any time in my life. You'd be surprised how diverse the topics are here

Found out a few years ago when I started playing ST: Elite Force. Was searching for downloads and found this thing called a... "forum". Eventually learnt how to use them and have been visiting quite a few since.
I found this one by fluke. I was looking for a half-life 2 forum (coz I was bored) and typed a random HL2 address in, and found this .

Second, my first was the Counter Strike Realism forums, which is an awesome skin pack for cs 1.6. Funnily enough someone posted a link on there to this site, clicked it for the news, and the rest is history. Theres something about this place

First forum for me was Lionhead's Black & White boards - boards.bwgame.com . They moved it to another adress but I still frequent the forum, after 4 years.

I have no idea which number this particular forum is. Probably 10+. Nowadays I only frequent 2-3 forums though.

I've lost count, but I've been on forums for all kinds of topics. There have been three forums that I've spent more time on then I have here at HL2.net, here is where I spend most of my time for now.

Those three forums were:

Xboxhacker.net = I was a forum moderator there. Everything we can do with xboxs today (emulators, media station, homebrew apps, and yes, piracy) is solely because of the work we did on Xboxhacker.net. We did it for liberty and knowledge. It was a lot of fun. The site is now gone, but it will be back up for the Xbox 2 Xbox-scene has the glitz, but we have the substance.

Hairlosstalk.com = I am not losing my hair. In fact, I have a nice full head of it.. thanks to hlt.com. (if you're thinning, there is help).

RoFo = A romance forum. Met some cool people there,. got laid,.. but meh.

Meh. It was a local thing. Really just a place to meet local singles. What can I say? It helped me get over a recent breakup. I later outgrew it.

I've been to plenty of forums but this is probably the only one I frequent quite so regularly... after my ancient heritage at Sven Co-op, of course.

Hmm. Rather worryingly, I can't remember what made me decide to come here in the first place. DAMN YOU AND YOUR MIND CONTROL!

This was my second. My first was Architectonic, a mapping forum for Unreal. But, unfortunately, I lost interest in UnrealEd mapping.

Then why were you there?

I was starting to lose my hair, of course. Why else would I be there? I went there to find out what I could do about it, and, as it turns out, I was able to stop it. I am no longer losing my hair. Two years later and my hair is actually thicker now then it was then.

There sure are a lot of forums

There sure are. I even found an active community of sunless tanners. This place had regulars, off topic discussion, the works, just to talk about sunless tanning products. I cant imagine being that into it (although I did find a good product there that I have used a couple of times with impressive results).
