Can't find who? The guy with the Candlejack avat

Goldeneye on the N64. Sweet.

First PC game I played was Max Payne I think.

I wonder how many younger gamers and generations beyond will become spoiled by 3D graphics? My nephew couldn't believe that we actually used to play "boring" 2D games. hmph.:hmph: Then again, today's games will *probably* be tomorrow's cell phone fodder.

2D games were some of the best ever! Shame on your nephew lol

Tell him that we pity everyone who has had to grow up in a world where Sonic the Hedgehog is a 'me too!' exercise in mundane 3D Platforming :p Though to be fair, I've been on a nostalgia trip the last few days and have come to conclusion that a LOT of (2D) games I played in the early years are utter trash, and the better ones are hideously flawed. I care even less about what the media is saying about the link between video games and violence now. Jumping Boulders in Wonder Boy makes we want to murder people in a way that giving me a virtual gun will never, ever manage.

I think things are going to swing back sooner or later. We're on the verge of a 2D animation renaissance at least. If that gives us a single High-Definition game that's just like playing a 2D planed visual masterpiece, I'll be very happy.

You're all computer-game noobs.

Now THAT is a proper game. First game I remember ever playing, on the Atari ST.

You're all gaming noobs.

First game I played on a computer, aged 7, Commodore PET with 8K RAM and integrated tape deck. "Super Space Invaders".

That was in 1979 :)

We were probably the first people in our town to own a computer.

Our computer progression went from:

Commodore Pet
Tandy TRS-80
Vic-20
C64
Amiga 512
PC....

That's pretty damn badass. I bow to your sagelike computergaming experience.
