First HL2 complaint

So im still at the part of the game where I am zooming around on the hovercraft, and Im noticing that when you take damage it doesnt seem like its severe enough. I think far cry did a much better job with making you want to avoid getting hurt because the screen would go all fuzzy and it would disorient you for a little bit. Perhaps a mod could be made to fix this? Anyone else notice this or am I just crazy?

The hovercraft pissed me off, so I ditched it and carried the rest of the canal's level on foot lol.

I'm thinking your going to get further in this chapter and wish you hadn't said the above. It gets harder, trust me.
