yeah i decided to do some more since then and there now underway

eek ugley gun! but yer the model is okay but so smoothing is terrible and model needs more detail.

hey are you the same guy i sent the ref pics to ?
it looks pretty good the only thing i noticed besides the fact that its plain, is that its not a render but a screen cap . you should press f10 to render.

cheers for the advice

thanks for the advice people, no u didnt send me some thingies,

the gun is a pretty sweet spec wise and although its very plain this is the first time ive ever used max, however i include some shots o fthe actual gun and as u can see it is pretty bland.

if anyone can point in in the right direction as to skinning the gun please do as i havnt a clue how to do it other than to use basic 3ds max 7 textures.

did you use boolean to make the hole in the handle ?
it doesnt look very smooth can we see a wire frame ?
as for texturing you will have to unwrap the gun.

Looks much better. There are still lots of room for improvement but that's what first models are for! :)

yuk, smoothing problems everywhere! bevel or change some edges to hard ones.

erm sorry dudes i really havnt got a clue about bevels, or changiing edges to hard ones or even boolean sorry.
if any one could explain a little further as to what these are i would bevery grateful

thanks for thecomments though its much appreciated having some feedback
