Personally I would like it if you could chose if you had rag-doll-death on or not.

Yes, or you might want to run 3rd person mode so you can see your
armor/weapon much like a mmorpg game does.
That's an interesting idea, but I was thinking more like the player seeing his "body" ragdolling when he dies, from a first-person perspective. Just for the sake of realism. It'll definitely be a first-person mod.
You could do this if you wanted to. We've tried it and the feedback we received from people is that they didn't like it. Having the camera follow the eyes as the body ragdolls makes the view go "crazy" unless you do things to dampen the ragdoll effect. Any dampening you do however, takes away from the realism. Given this we have currently decided to skip this feature until we come up with a better implementation that has an effect we like.
