If you entered this thread, you are either intrigued by the Rev or willing to flame it. Either way, you are probably interested in seeing the first ever Revolution screenshots.

The only footage we have seen so far is the relatively grainy footage of Metroid Prime 3 that was quickly hustled into a montage of Revolution shots for E3 last year. It showed Samus in a shiny suit with a brand new spacecraft behind her on a world/meteor that was made of, presumably, Phazon. The footage was made using entirely Gamecube software by Retro Studios, as no Revo dev kits were available then.

EDIT: Here is the money shot of the 3 second Metroid Prime 3 teaser video. Albeit in even lower resolution than it was shown at E3.

That is where the kind-of from the title comes in. These three shots are all screenshots of games that are on the Revolution, but aren't made with Revolution dev kits.

This first game is a golf game called Pangya Golf made by Temco. It was originally a game made for PC, already on release in Japan. The game looks similar to Mario Golf and it will be interesting to see which is more popular.
So without further ado, here is a small collage of screenshots from the PC version:

And here are two extraordinarily odd videos for the game:

Here is the website for the Revolution port of the game (entirely in Japanese): LINK

Puzzling.

The second game is slightly more exciting. The game is called Raid Over The River and is a top down shooter where you can pilot a fighter-class plane, bomber, transporter or AWACS. The game is being developed for both Revolution and DS and the DS one is certainly being shown at E3 2006, if not the Revolution one also.
The game is being made by a little known independant games developer from Poland named Upstart Nibris. I have personally never heard of them before and can't find any work that they have done in the past.

These next two screenshots have been made up on existing Gamecube dev kits as they didn't have access to Rev kits (although, luckily, they should get hold of one very soon thanks to the cheap cost of one of the kits) So, while bearing in mind that the game will look at least 3 times better than this on the Revolution, take a look at these screenies:

But this isn't Upstart Nibris' only game in development for Revolution. They are also planning a psychological horror game named Sadness.
Piotr Orlovsky - Head of Upstart Nibris said:
All I can say now is that it is going to be a gothic horror game, which will scare not with the amount of blood but with sheer atmosphere. Imagine a game in which you do not use guns or knives but you will have to protect yourself with the objects you find exploring the ground -- a stone, a stick, etc.
Some examples of using the controller - you swing a torch with it to scare the rats off; you slit the throat (controller as a piece of glass or a knife); if you want to climb the wall you will have to hook a rope over the piece of a wall sticking out (controller serving as a lasso). And this is only the beginning.

The title will be designed from the ground up as a single-player experience and aimed at adults with strong nerves. Let me mention that the scenario will have associations with narcolepsy, nyctophobia and paranoid schizophrenia, the scenario will surprise you.

Intriguing stuff eh? And not bad for a 14-man Polish team.

So while not official shots, this is all very interesting info that has surfaced over the past few days and let's hope these aren't the last snippets before E3 in 2 months.

What the **** is with the pizza and the slamming of the keys on the keyboard?

Those all look/sounds brilliant. Some really unique stuff coming out of the revolution, but what I'd like to see is a free-roam driving sim, and that you can download (maybe stream) roads/maps from Gamecube's servers.

I've never had the chance to play a free-roaming driving sim, and the revolution with it's great pad seems an excellent place to start.

Thankfully E3 will have much better stuff to show off. This stuff is so mediocre that I barely care. The Rev will indeed be a Revolution, but its not here yet obviously....

Nibris does not have even a gamecube dev kit yet. They also know as much about the final Revolution specifications as we do so the screenshots shown are from the PC version of the game. They aren't releasing a PC version but this is what they are working on until they can get a dev kit.

Here is a list of every 3rd party developer to date working on Revolution projects, currently the confirmed list totals 26 3rd party developers:
