I'm assuming it's the xbox version

Hmm, looks like Manhunt. I hope this is the new gameplay they are talking about. I'd like to see a darker theme in this one.

ya I guess he's on the run from his former superiors this time around

I'd like to see more interactive gameplay in this one. Like more moves and stuff.

And also more dynamic ways to pass missions. In the past Splinter Cell's there was only one way to do things "right". So you always had a trial and error thing. If the game didnt look so damn cool, i would have been pretty annoyed by that.

Theres also some others in the latest PSW magazine. Its looking pretty awesome.

Splinter cell 4:

His daughter has died and Fisher has been convicted for armed robbery and murder. He is sent to jail, frequently visited by Lambert and eventually breaks out due to a riot. He joins the John Brown army (criminals)

I err, can't find the magazine (moving house), but thats what I remember.

A secret agent guy like Sam should be in guantanamo bay though, dont you agree?

Looks good. Anyone know what system those screens are taken from?

No, he should be in one of those now infamous CIA black houses around the world--A Secret Prison for a Secret Agent.

According to the link Sam went on an armed robbery/murder spree, wonder if it's true or if he was framed. And I wonder how his daughter died.

god, this game looks like it could really be dark as shit, i wanna see Sam shank a buncha fools

From the newspaper clippings on the teaser site, she was run over by a car. At least, that's what they want you to know. Anyway, no matter what Sam's done he's still badass. Hopefully he and Lambert go on some kind of tagteam killing spree, but I somewhat doubt it.

C'mon, people. Sam a murderous villain? I smell a framing, or at least a serious misrepresentation.

It does look, however, that there's going to be a far darker turn in the SC games, which I like. I predict our dear Sam will commit a fair share of moral quandaries in this game.

 I can't imagine Lambert going on a killing spree..
You just know he's got it in him. I can easily see him performing a triple-backflip leading into a thigh neckbreaker, can't you?

I can see him in the WWF.

Personally, I think its all facade. Maybe not his daughter's death, but it seems more likely to me he is going deep undercover.

His daughter died in a car accident.

What system are those screenshots from? What systems is the game coming out for?

That looks like PS2 or Xbox

I think it's xbox and it's also been mentioned that it's for all current and next-gen consoles plus pc

It'll look far better for PC and next-gen consoles, those are just Xbox shots and they certainly won;t be able to include all the cool stuff available on high-end PCs and the new consoles - can't wait to see what they pull out this time

Yea I think it's for the xbox (the res gives it away that it's not on the X360... it _could_ be on PC, but usually they don't take PC screens at that low of a res)

Looks great to me :D Can't wait for info on MP to be honest lol

I still haven't played the third game yet, only the demo.

This looks good though. Will be interesting how it will look on the next-gen consoles. :)

Sweet, maybe now there wont be any more "dont kill these guys" missions. I bet this is all gunna end up in a cliche ending though. At the end, sam finds out that lambert is the one who framed him, so now he goes and kills him, and everything is all rainbows and lovely after.

I just finished the second of the two Splinter Cell books. They are very well written and give alot more backstory on Sam and third Ecelon. I really want an Xbox now to play this and the whole series without the crappy graphics on the PS2

hm, i think it looks like rubbish, they may be trying too hard and focusing on the wrong things.

So focusing on a new storyline is a bad thing? Instead of rehashing the old "information warfare" one or the incredibly cliched "virus that kills everyone" ?

I'm extremely pleased with the direction they appear to be taking. A new:

"Hi I'm Sam Fisher and I'm off to castrate a certain terrorist who is threatening to...boy this is a new one...DESTROY Z WORLD."

Just wouldn't cut it. I love this new direction.

I'm getting bad flashbacks to Prince of Persia: Warrior Within here. The new direction they're taking is interesting, I just hope they don't go to crazy with the dark tone. I'd be pretty disappointed if broken necks and fountains of blood replaced the charm and sense of humor that the series is known for.

Looks awesome.
I think he was retired from age of being the Splinter Cell, since they had a new one in training. His sister was ran over, and he was framed or something around the lines of that.
Or, maybe he was captured, anyway, it looks AWESOME!

Hope it will look alot better on the other systems. this is so ugly

I had no idea it was Michael Ironside that did the voice for Sam Fisher until now... :O

You learn new things everyday.
