I finally get meself a tablet (A Graphire 4 640x480) and this is my first pic drawn with a tablet :

excuse the crudeness, I'm a tablet newb :(

criticism welcommen

Not bad but the composition is rather boring, keep going at it and youll be good in no time :D. Also just work on the forms im pretty that blurry light wouldnt hit him like that all in the front it should rather really darken hmi and make him look evil. Id suggest painting from life more then trying to make something from your head. Go get some fruit or something.

That's looking good for your first attempt! Colour and shading are hard to do when you're first getting into it.

ARRGHHH STILL LIFE NOES! ;(

I am so tired of drawing still lifes (the traditional way, that is)

Draw a orange, and make it evil. Make it kill the apple.

I think it looks awesome, very original and stylish. Despite the light hitting him at the wrong angle, it looks good that way. Glad to see you got a tablet, I loved your work in the past :D

Wow, that really looks nice. I was thinking about getting a tablet also, but couldnt decide if the intuos or graphire would be best.

The intuos is marketed for artists more than the graphire but that seems to do a nice job of doing paintings... would you recommend that or an intuos?

And is that the 4x5 or 6x8? And which would you recommend?

Depends on what you want it for. It's 3.5x5, too, I believe.. and I have one of them. Mine's kinda small, but that's okay with me cuz I don't use it terribly often. His is bigger but I'm sure he will use it more.

Introus' are expensive, aren't they? Graphires work just fine, if you ask me, but I've never used the Introus.

I have heard intuos are loads better than graphires... I have an intuous 4x5 i use it only for photoshop though. If you play on using it for all the time you will want a bigger one tha 4x5 it also depend on the space you have. Intuos also have a touch pad that make them more appealing that graphire.

it's kind of Tim Burton-esque.. is that what you were going for? Kind of reminds me of the whole Pumpkin King/Nightmare before Christmas theme.. nice work.

I just use a Graphire 4 640x480 for this one. Intuous is too expensive for me : /

i remember you, you joined later than me, posted insanly and dissappeared

and now your back wth spiffy arty things:P
