Why does everyone think that we will go to the antlion nest at the very beginning? I think that this part would be somewhere in the middle or even in the end of the game... From the trailers you can see that the player already has crowbar 357. mag and a shotgun in that chapter, so i think the antlion nest chapter won't be at the very beginning.

Tomu said. When you enter the antlion nests, you have to leave the car behind you, so you wouldn't have it anymore when you came out. The car is with you for the majority of the game, so therefore the nest must be at the start or near the end of the game, because if they were somewhere in the middle then you so you could only have for half the game. But yeah, they could be at the end I suppose.

what the heck is a "magnade" And where did you hear this?

There's some stuff in this thread on HLFallout about a leak which I think turned out to be fake. I don't really understand most of what's going on there, except that someone claimed to have links to a hacked copy of Ep2. I don't know why you can't view the thread normally...
Then there's this thread where Iron Cube tells us about it. The portable thumper was apparently from a mod.

I think it was someone pretending that his pre-loaded files were a hacked copy. But then there is that list of files... I suppose it could have come out of Ep1 code or something.

I m thinking that you might get the Pistol, it always comes first believe it or not. But if you get an RPG first that would mean there could possibly be hunter choppers or synths or something high teired like that...

Actually, I believe the magnade comes from reading the source files of the Particle Benchmark.

They didn't have a hacked EP2 they had the benchmark which had all the data of EP2 as of November 06 but no model maps or materials.
