Flash effect not wearing off.

Ok, I have searched and checked these and steampowered.com forums and didn't find anything about this.
Whenever I'm flashed the screen remains white until I die. I have Radeon 9800 Pro with latest catalyst drivers. Do you know any solutions?

I've had the same thing happen to me once (and only once) on my 6800GT.
