I just had the worst ever rainstorm out here

For an hour this damn rain's been leaking in, I actually had to turn my computer off because the water was mixing in with the lights and the power might have short circuited.

We have a drought out here in Australia, but I live on the East Coast, and theres certainly no shortage of rain here, why cant it go in the dams where its needed

But yeah, I live on a hill, and theres just been a constant stream of water going down there. Its been crazy...

Just as well I stayed home for our swimming carnival...

We very rarely get bad weather here in good ol' Denver. Hell, it was seventy today. It's nice.

Mobile, Alabama

tied with Seattle, Washington for raniest city in the U.S.

I feel your pain

I live in Arizona. We deal with flash flooding too and it sucks. You may think WTF- but we get long bouts of mini drought, and then a huge amount of rain during the monsoons in summer. Creates especially bad conditions on dirt roads, you don't know if one second you will be blocked from accessing parts of the town due to a road becoming a waterway.

Had to send everyone home from school one day becaue the road became a river (the road is lower than the curb in front of my school) and it was starting to get too high/ruin people's brakes as they tried to drive down it.

When I was in Pakistan the monsoon season was insane. Wow. And the worst part, in our part of town: It was open gutters and sewers. Most tried to cover them up with blocks so people don't fall in accidentally... but sometimes stuff would come out. And we had to walk in it all every day. Needless to say I cleaned my legs a lot.
