Flashlight FLASHWALL??

i would appreciate if someone helped me with this glitch.
each time i use flashlight the walls start blinking.

they blink like this
Light blue, Normal, light blue, normal, light blue, normal...
The interval is like 100ms

Someone please help me.
Also tell me if my hardware matters.

MY CPU:
Amd athlon thunderbird 32bit 1003mhz
512MB SDR memory 100mhz.
Geforce2 MX 400.

In a few hours I post here stats of the computer i order in these hours.
Im tired of this noob computer i got so im ordering it as i write here Ill post ordered stats here soon, then please rate them and tell how good half life 2 runs on them.

all i can say make sure you got latest drivers for card from nvidia, directx9c etc

Well funny you dont know but there was no directX9c when they made geforce2 mx 400 so the hardwareDirecx is 7.0
I got the latest updates, thanks tho.

hey joppe i got the same problem (also using a GeForce2 MX 400 so im guessing it is a problem with that card) but if you come up with a solution id be grateful if you posted it! having to restart the game after each time i use the torch is painful!!

I had the same problem with my GF2 MX440 and the latest NVIDIA drivers (66.93), but it works fine with the older 61.77 drivers!
