does hl2 have a flashlight?
don't think iv'e read anywhere that it does, maybe someone here has?

one of the things that made hl great imo :D
 
ah yeh, of course, hopefully some more of those scary headcrab moments in the vents then
 
Oh Im sure there will be, wouldnt be HL2 without at least one vent filled with headcrabs

And the Flashlight looks pretty sweet also from what I saw in the video.

Its the wall demo. Remember the two vids released 1-2 weeks ago? 1 was the Alyx video, and one was the wall video. Search around, theyre the ones where they give xsi demos.

I saw the flashlight briefly in the wall video, and it looked like shit probably because the video's quality was horrible.
 
you sure that was a flashlight? just looked like they were demonstrating the lighting effects
 
well it was a little circle of light moving on the wall at the end of the clip, I assumed it to be a flashlight.
 
well seeing that there was a flashlight in HL1, 5 years ago, I dont think it would be a major problem to implement this time around ;)
 
playing with light i gonna be pretty cool nowadays...
 
I would assume it's the flashlight you'll be using in Half-Life 2, it looked similar (in form, not graphically) to the flashlight in Half-Life, and they're keeping the HEV the same.

wonder if when your playing a multiplayer game and you use your flashlight, if it will just make your body glow or it will look like an actual light your holding.
 
I don't know, but I think the flashlight looks pretty bad. Lighting doesn't seem to be one of the strong suits of HL2, but I still want it more than anything else.

You know, I don't think anyone uses "1337 speak" anymore except for people making poor attempts at being funny.

I can't wait to see the dust particles shining in the flashlight - that will look so damn real, make it even more scary in the headcrab vents!
