Greetings all,

A couple of years ago, a game was released in Europe which quickly garnished a following. The game was called FlatOut. As soon as the game hit American shores a year or so after being released in Europe, it enjoyed very strong sales. For those of you that downloaded the demo quickly became addicted & soon bought the game once it became available, which was a year after the demo was released.

FlatOut offered:

* Eight players or AI cars on track for close pack racing
* Single player Career, Quick race and Time trial modes
* Multiplayer mayhem with up to 8 players
* 16 different fully upgradeable cars
* 48 tracks including stunt arenas and destruction bowls
* Wacky and funny ragdoll mini-games
* Open environments for taking your own shortcuts
* Convincing car handling and impressive damage modeling
* Ground breaking physics for extreme realism
* Ragdoll drivers which fly through windshields
* Fully destructible tracks and cars
* Dynamic environments which change with each collision
* State of the art visual quality and effects
* Multiplayer support: up to 8 players in LAN

Welcome to FlatOut 2

Is it possible to make an already awesome driving game better? You bet your rear end it is! Vivendi Universal Games & Empire Interactive took Flatout & heavily tweaked it. Turning an already well made driving game into an even more action packed & fun game to play that truely offers replayability.

For those new to FlatOut & for those that arn't, click on the below link to go to the Flatout 2 Website. Watch the gameplay videos & I guarentee that you'll soon be ordering your copy of this great game.

Final Score - 4/5

I'm curious about almost all of your threads. They all seem to be new threads almost but not quite advertising something.

He's legit, there've already been discussion of that :p I think your discomfiture is mostly due to being confused at someone being productive for once :D

Fair enough. I apologise to MRG. Post away.
EDIT: And on-topic, I have Flatout2. Very amazing game. Very hard later on too.

i love flatout 2, its so much fun. its so much better then flatout 1. the control is just harder in the first one.

For some reason I find myself preferring the first.

Has the notion of giving him a subsection of his own come in to discussion, because I believe it may be necessary.

Note to self: Damn, I think my poor-mans subliminal messages are starting to get noticed... My plans for world domination via one forum at a time....

Really, if you think that way (Which could not be farther from the truth) I invite EVERYONE to visit the other sites I post to to see for themselves, once and for all, I ain't trying to sell or market or advertise for anything. That what you see is what you get, a middle aged male, sitting in a pink tutu, on a folding chair in front of his computer... Shit.. I prob should not have mentioned the folding chair...

-MRG

Edit: I'm trying to multi-quote and it's not working. Bare with me admins, i'll get it right sooner or later.. Leaves to read F.A.Q....

I give Flatout 2 a 3.5/10. My review is from someone with a better opinion on everything.

Are you people seriously so stupid you can't spot guerilla marketing even when it's displayed so ruthlessly blatant in your faces?

I like how the screenshot isn't even from flatout2

the game is very fun, but it gets really difficult when you get to the street cars.

Flatout 2 is great fun. Almost as fun as Carmageddon

Doh! I just checked and you are right! I took a Pic from Flatout 1 and posted that one instead.. I'll fix that. Thanks for catching that error!

ya those cars arent in flatout 2 at all; in flatout 2 there is a graphics update.
yea the street cars are hard, i have a tough time getting a good place.

ive been playing the snot out of this game for the past week or two, i love it

Have they 'managed' to have an option to turn off noob control in FartOut 2?

I remember in FlatOut 1 traction control couldn't be turned off unless you tweaked the ini files.

it's part of the game. I mean it's not supposed to be a racing simulation so controlling the car is really easy on purpose. You can just concentrate on smashing other cars instead of struggling to stay on the road.

Would a computer of mine be able to hand Flat Out 2 without any lag?
Most people should know about my trouble with Episode One, so yea.

I'm still convinced this dude is a marketer. . .i hear there's good money to be made in that field actually.

Come on, you guys really didn't notice how his first post read like the back of a game box? That and how he tried to use jokes- and failed. . .

I'm glad to have met someone with a review from someone with a better opinion on everything. :p

Not angry, just a cynic. And i'm more a lucky charms guy personally

Well, when you make flaming worthless posts like:

I'm still convinced this dude is a marketer. . .i hear there's good money to be made in that field actually.

Come on, you guys really didn't notice how his first post read like the back of a game box? That and how he tried to use jokes- and failed. . .

You can't expect to be taken seriously, or even taken kindly. You can voice your opinion all you like, but do you seriously have to flame him like a 14 year old in a round of de_dust?

Are you people seriously so stupid you can't spot guerilla marketing even when it's displayed so ruthlessly blatant in your faces?

he seem's to get away with it okay. . . but of course that has NOTHING to do with the fact that he has 5,800 posts right?

and my apologies, didn't mean to flame, these things just annoy me.

So sry MRG if you really are legit.

And to show there are no hard feelings...
