Flickering screen

I have a 9800 gt card. A few days ago my screen started flickering in games such as counter strike source, half life 2 and team fortress 2 especially wen i am being flashed in counter strike source.Im not sure its the graphics cards problem but i figured it might. I had the new driverswhich i remember ended in 270 --- (cant remember the end) and after getting an older driver (8.17.12.6658) i think it made less flashing but its still there. Maybe its not a graphics card problem, if anyone has any suggestions or ideas it would be much appreciated

Can you explain what you mean by flickering more? Its it just flashing a black screen for a split second every so often or something? If changing the drivers didn't fix it, it could just be the hardware itself on the video card is messing up. If you have another PC available you can test it easy enough by putting your card into that PC and see if it still happens.
