notice the headline:

"Rap artist and cultural phenom expands his domain into video game world"

cultural phenom? wtf are they smoking? he can barely string to words together to form a semi-coherent sentence

Or how gameplay shows objects clipping through trailers, incredibly poor texturing on everything but the guys face and crotch (Both VERY close to each other, I might add), gigantism in the bastard's thumb, Being co-made by an ass-hole (I don't mean EA), big-headed (well textured though), Poor gameplay (It's about a rapper with a gun... What else can possibly be in it?)

So go ahead, you go out and buy it and tell us all how shit it is for us then :).
 
That's not the only reason Shadow. No self respecting game company (in other words, a sucky game company) would make a game starring a rapper.

Edit: I wonder if Gordon raps... Nah, he can't talk.

seriously I hav see a lot of people saying

one thing is that I was hoping this game to be decent but I hav saw a few seconds of gameplay and it was like every other crappy-made-for-only-get-money game whit very bad quality
and if you see almost everything hab so bad textures but when you see the g-unit logo it looks very good compared to the rest,also in some screenshots there is a lot of logos of g-unit everywhere so that means that this game is pure publicity
but still it will not bad if the game end up being cool
but what I hate the most of this is that 50 cent claim himself that "I am going to shock the videogame world like I did whit the music world" oh crap give me a break keep making music
 
Who cares about the gameplay, the game is about some fuggin rapstar. Don't support him! Let him burn and die.

Why do people call rap "Music" anyway? It's some guy talkign to some beats. *and beats a 3 year old can make at that* What happened to the good ol' days of somebody actually needing skill to create music. Now all you have to do is say something about your girl being fine and say "N!#$er a few times, and some other vulgarities, and BAM your a hit.

Rap is bullshit.

I have don't like rappers nowadays, and have absolutely no respect for them. The 80's rappers, I respect them. They had something to rap about. They were rapping from their soul. But todays rappers are just bullshit ridden kids from Pennsylvania, talking about how hard it was growing up in compton.

PFFT. You have to grow up in compton to rap about it.

As far as I care, REAL rap is talking. Definition of rap is talking. These guys are talking, but it's all bullshit. Not to mention they're talking to badly made Techno tracks. At least Run DMC had a drummer.

EDIT: I was listening to "Ten Years Gone", and I was so into the song that seeing that post threw me into a fit. Everything I said still applies though.

A 4 year old can. He was on the telleh, and he was as good as most rappers I've heard. And at one point he called some woman a 'ho'. I think she was quite shocked.

Pfft. NWA are great. In fact, so are a lot of undergroond rap groups. It's just the top 40 style that's really awful.

I actually liked their very first song that I heard (fit but you know it) just because it seemed to take the piss out of chavs so very amusingly...but after hearing the rest of their output...meh.
 
For the first yime in my life I think that Jack Thompson may have a use...lets just hope he finds some stupid reason to ban the game :E

Well, to be fair, Kanye West is actually half-decent. So far as I can tell, his records have a surprising amount of... well, songs that aren't about how rich he is, or how he gets to go around the metal detector because he's just that cool.

And I don't know if K-Os counts as rap, but his stuff is great.

First of all, I hate 50 cent. I hate his music, I hate the way he talks, I don't like anything about him.

BUT, the texture quality is at least equal, even slightly above to today's PS2 standard. The model looks a shitload better than GTA: SA as well.

50 cent is a millionaire, he did what millions of Americans can't, he got rich. He did not start out rich, he earned his money, wether it was by making songs you judge to be terrible, I think he deserves some credit/respect for the amount of fame he has collected.
 
If you think you guys are being cool hating on Rap by not fitting the mainstream, you are seriously dissilusioned. Hating rap is the most mainstream, sheep thing you could do. I would like to see you create a decent rap, after all, I'm sure it would be a piece of cake since a 3 year old could do it.

There is a reason why there are hundreds of aspiring rap artists everyday while very very few actually make it.

Glah, I have a Streets album. "A Grand Don't Come For Free".

His voice is horrible, but the lyrics are incredible. It really feels like you're listening to a story.

Yeah, K-os is Hip Hop, if you like those two, give Mos Def, Common, and Talib Kweli a listen... they come along the lines of Kanye, except better.
