I personally think that they should go ahead and legalize it - and tax it to hell and gone. I mean, how much money could the government be using from pot sales to fund education or healthcare?

if it's legalized, it will be a lot easier for elementary schoolers to bring it to the playgrounds and deal it (like we used to with cigarettes. i'm sure if we found pot laying around the kitchen table like cigarettes, we would have brought it to school instead.)

****TARD ALERT

Pop Quis, genius. Which is easier to get?

A) A controlled, regulated substance that requires ID to purchase.

B) An uncontrolled, unregulated substance that requires no ID and which the seller has no issues selling to minors because profit is his aim.

This "elementary kids will get high" bullshit is such a fantastic ****prod of a slippery slope and is, at most, fearmongering whorepiss. And even if kids are nicking it from Mom and Pop, THAT'S A PARENTAL ISSUE, NOT A CANNABIS ONE.

no, you didn't even pay attention to what i wrote. read it slower.

if it's legalized, it's going to be more common around the house just like cigarettes and alcohol are. this means that kids will get to it A LOT EASIER than they do right now.

if it's more common around the house, it's going to be way more common around playgrounds and parks.

but all the pro-marijuana folk never seem to realize this. they like to just babble with their dicks in their mouths about how it will "improve our economy."

Like any drug/narcotic/stimulant it can be addictive but not every user smokes it all day every day ..the majority of users use it in moderation just like alcohol etc. It's also the way it's presented: as a recreational drug with a negative stigma attached ..prescription drugs can be extremely addictive and even some over the counter medicine can cause people to have dependencies (pain killers etc, sleep stimlants, anti-depressants etc) yet they're not frowned upon because of the medication's intended use, but dependency/habitual abuse does exist. In other words you cant blame the drug/narcotic/stimulant for a users inability to consume in moderation. SO it begs the question as to why it's illegal in the first place ..especially now as more and more studies reveal its beneficial qualities

Pop Quis, genius. Which is easier to get?

what the hell? how can you call me a retard when you spelled quiz wrong.

ABSINTHE, YOU DIDN'T PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT I WROTE. READ IT AGAIN.

you just let your self-centered one sided ass do all your talking. READ IT AGAIN.

alcohol and cigarettes require ID to purchase, and it's still found around the house. tell me why pot wouldn't be found around the house just as easily if it's legalized?

****ing jackass

I certainly wouldn't support a broad, sweeping ban on the majority's rights just because a small minority abuses those rights.

no you guys AREN'T PAYING ATTENTION to what i said, just as i knew you woudln't. i know it's pro's and cons when it comes to our health. i know it's pros and cons when it comes to our economy. i know it's one of the main reasons i understand organic chemistry 2.

what i'm saying is, instead of kids smoking their parents cigarettes that they found on the kitchen, they're also going to be smoking their parents' pot. and it's going to factor into their childhood.

why can't people realize that?

oh but ABSINTHE over here has to come all out and make himself look like a retarded dumbass. i don't want to hear another word out of you.

what the hell? how can you call me a retard when you spelled quiz wrong.

Oh no, a typo. And you also suck at using caps (or lack thereof).

GUESS WE'RE BOTH TARDS LOL

anyways, i don't think you paid attention to what i wrote you retard. you just let your self-centered one sided ass do all your talking. i don't understand what you mean by having an A) and a B). what are you arguing about?

No, I read and understood you fine. Your argument was that if pot was legalized, school children would easily acquire it and deal it. I want you to take a look at that, and then perhaps it may dawn on your how absurd that is. Perhaps the drug scene at grade school has changed over the years, but I don't recall any black market up and running by my fellow students during my time in it, nor do I recall it ever being an epidemic anywhere.

There are many legal substances that have no place in a school, hence why we control and regulate them. Tying into this, if you tax the substance, the black market for it is substantially reduced, if not eliminated entirely for all practical reasons. Guess what that means? Less drug dealers pushing pot at your precious grade school, because it's not a substance that's going to earn them as much money!

alcohol and cigarettes require ID to purchase, and it's still found around the house. tell me why pot wouldn't be found around the house just as easily if it's legalized?

****ing jackass

They're found around the house? Oh, then I guess that makes it a parental issue if the parents can't keep such substances away from their children.

WOOHOO! LET'S PROHIBIT A PARTICULAR SUBSTANCE BECAUSE A COUPLE OF PEOPLE LET LITTLE JIMMY SMOKE SOME REEFER, EVEN THOUGH THIS IS FAR FROM COMMON

first off, stop making your font big like that you ****ing moron, it makes me not want to reply to your dumbass statements. second, i will never be as retarded as you, ABSINTHE. now read carefully-

No, I read and understood you fine. Your argument was that if pot was legalized, school children would easily acquire it and deal it. how stupid are you? pot hasn't been legal in your time you dumbass. so how can you say you don't recall your fellow students finding it easily? grow a ****ing brain. second, you can't base your own experience off everyone elses. which is why i clearly stated -=IN MY OPINION=-

now

They're found around the house? Oh, then I guess that makes it a parental issue if the parents can't keep such substances away from their children.

YOU'RE RIGHT, IT IS A PARENTAL ISSUE THAT THE PARENTS CAN'T KEEP IT AWAY FROM THEIR CHILDREN. BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT ONCE IT'S LEGALIZED, PARENTS ARE GONNA BE ****ING CAREFUL. BECAUSE THEY AREN'T. THERE ARE STILL GOING TO BE THOSE DUMBASS PARENTS OUT THERE THAT WILL LEAVE THE POT THEY JUST BOUGHT FROM THE STORE LAYING ON THE TABLE, LIKE THEY DO WITH CIGARETTES AND ALCOHOL. THAT MEANS THEIR KIDS WILL HAVE EASIER ACCESS TO IT. THEN THOSE KIDS' FRIENDS WILL HAVE EASIER ACCESS TO IT. NOW STFU AND THINK BEFORE YOU RUN YOUR DUMBASS MOUTH.

or perhaps you should go drink some more of your absinthe you one-sided uneducated ****.

I don't care if it is or not, since I don't smoke it. But I think I think it may be better for some people if it is. And it's using a point that hasn't yet been brought up in this thread; Quality.
The quality of a substance, when that substance is government controlled (usually harvested commercially through a tested third-party) is greatly increased compared with shit that people grow in their window boxes.
Not only that, but they're bio-chemists working on branding. That is perfecting a breed of the plant which does the least damage to the person, but produces the biggest 'high'. This means better 'bang for your buck' as opposed to people who grab the plant and try soaking it in alchohol or some other substance to cover up the fact that with each subsequent planting, their generations are slowly diluting themselves with poor breeding.

So yes, it should be legalized in my opinion. Not because I smoke pot (because I don't), or because I think the government would create a larger profit, or even that it would force dealers off the streets because they can't sell their shit cheap enough. No, I think it should be legalized so that people who do decide to take pot do it right, and don't damage themselves in the process.

By the way, I agree with Absy. You're both tards for arguing on an internet forum :p

how stupid are you? pot hasn't been legal in your time you dumbass. so how can you say you don't recall your fellow students finding it easily? grow a ****ing brain.

I do not recall a black market for any substance at my school. At all. And as far as I can tell, it's not a problem with a grand majority of them.

Unless you can provide some evidence of this being the contrary, shut up.

second, you can't base your own experience off everyone elses. which is why i clearly stated -=IN MY OPINION=-

Your opinion is still dumb as shitrocks. And in your opinion I have a dick in my mouth.

Guess I gotta respect that.

Oh, that's a nice sweeping generalization, isn't it?

THERE ARE STILL GOING TO BE THOSE DUMBASS PARENTS OUT THERE THAT WILL LEAVE THE POT THEY JUST BOUGHT FROM THE STORE LAYING ON THE TABLE, LIKE THEY DO WITH CIGARETTES AND ALCOHOL.

THERE WILL ALSO BE PEOPLE WHO STAB PEOPLE IN THE EYES WITH BUTTER KNIVES

LOL BAN BUTTER KNIVES

So Sheikah, how many paint chips do you eat on a regular basis.

(BTW I'd like to apologize to other poor souls having to witness my posts. I'm in an angry, indignant, and obnoxious mood)

Unless you can provide some evidence of this being the contrary, shut up.

once again, you're retarded. HERE'S SOMEONE'S STORY -

My friend Chris smoked his first cigarette at the age of 8. He found it on the kitchen table.

Now you're saying we should tax pot like we do with cigarettes. So let's say we did.

Chris now found an 8th of weed laying next to the cigarettes. Instead of smoking the cigarettes, he smoked the pot. and boy, did he get high. and he enjoyed this high. he told all his friends about it and everything! his friends started looking for the green plant around their home and would smoke it. end of story. that's what i'm saying you giant jackass. now grow a ****ing brain.

Your opinion is still dumb as shitrocks. And in your opinion I have a dick in my mouth.

Guess I gotta respect that.

nice one, ******. what do you do with your life? oh that's right. 6,438 posts.

Oh, that's a nice sweeping generalization, isn't it?

HOW DARE YOU EVEN SAY THAT? YOU MADE MORE GENERALIZATIONS THAN ME YOU ****UP.

THERE WILL ALSO BE PEOPLE WHO STAB PEOPLE IN THE EYES WITH BUTTER KNIVES

LOL BAN BUTTER KNIVES

don't you dare try to link this with weapon banning. you're right, there will be. but you know what? people grow up using butter knives for eating. people grow up using pot for smoking. there's a difference you ******.

So Sheikah, how many paint chips do you eat on a regular basis.

say what you want, i'm above you. keep talking too, i'm just waiting to get banned because i'm arguing with another dumbass on the half-life forums that doesn't know a single thing about life/politics/marijuana legalization. but you like to claim you're right because i eat paintchips.

My friend Chris smoked his first cigarette at the age of 8. He found it on the kitchen table.

Parental problem.

Parental problem.

And it's probably better he's smoking weed.

nice one, ******. what do you do with your life? oh that's right. 6,438 posts.

I don't see what this is indicative of.

HOW DARE YOU EVEN SAY THAT? YOU MADE MORE GENERALIZATIONS THAN ME YOU ****UP.

Please point these out.

don't you dare try to link this with weapon banning. you're right, there will be. but you know what? people grow up using butter knives for eating. people grow up using pot for smoking. there's a difference you ******.

It was an example to show how ridiculous your logic is. Just because something has the ability to be abused does not constitute grounds for prohibition.

And if the child is growing up in an environment where he can easily acquire pot from his parents, guess what? Parental problem.

So now that we've established that it's a parental issue, even by your own admission, it's made clear that you have no idea what the hell you're talking about and exhibit a willful and stubborn ignorance, attempting to blame problems on an inanimate plant.

Congratulations. You're an idiot.

ohhh my god. i'm going to shut you up for good now and go to bed -

Parental problem.

and there will be more of these "parental problems" if it's legalized. get it through your simple brain you dumb****.

And it's probably better he's smoking weed.

are you kidding me? if i have kids some day, i want them to be active and play sports and read national geographic or some shit like that. i don't want them smoking pot and ending up like you. and when they get older, sure i wouldn't mind if every now and then they got high off weed. i do it. but i didn't start it at a young age like some other people i know, that are now in jail for doing other things.

I don't see what this is indicative of.
it shows that you're worthless in life. i just felt like i needed to be the first to tell you.

Please point these out.
go read over your past few posts you dumbass.

Congratulations. You're an idiot.
i'm an idiot because i told you that legalizing pot will allow the youth to grab it EASIER THAN THEY ALREADY CAN. more kids will be getting high and passing marijuana out if it's legalized. you fail to realize this. anyone that doesn't realize this is a dumbass. but you think it's better that the kids are getting high. way to go champion. you have no right to ever speak of legalizing marijuana again.

and there will be more of these "parenental problems" if it's legalized. get it through your simple brain you dumb****.

So you want to prohibit a substance because a select minority abuses it, acknowledging that the issues lies with the abusers and not the substance itself.

You're an idiot.

are you kidding me? i want my kids to be active and play sports and read national geographic or some shit like that. i don't want them smoking pot and ending up like you.

I meant in comparison to smoking. But I pity your prospective children if they need to live under your domain of insanity.

You're an idiot.

it shows that you're worthless in life. i just felt like i needed to be the first to tell you.

Gosh, I had no idea that a post number indicated such a thing! Thanks for opening my eyes! I should go out and make some worth of myself by telling pro-legalization advocates that they suck dick! Then I'll be good for the world!

You're an absolute ****ing idiot.

go read over your past few posts you dumbass.

Nah, I really don't feel like doing your work and substantiating your claims.

All you're doing is running around circles, your sole crutch being that a few kids will steal the marijuana from their parents, even though legalization and regulation would go a long ways in taking it out of the wrong hands on the whole.

You. Are. A. Colossal. ****ing. Idiot.

The day a grade school black market props up and sustains itself off of dimebags from mommy and daddy's top drawer, I'll eat my hat.

no, once again you fail to understand things. and no i'm not running in a circle. i've stuck to my argument the entire time. it's you who goes off on tangents about the black market and butter knives. dumbass.

So you want to prohibit a substance because a select minority abuses it, acknowledging that the issues lies with the abusers and not the substance itself.

what the hell are you talking about? do you even know what you're saying? are you even reading what i'm writing? god just go back and read over everything i wrote. you're so ****ing pathetic. what you just wrote has nothing to do wtih my goddamn argument. you're so ****ing.... i can't even tell you how retarded you are.

I meant in comparison to smoking idiots. But I pity your prospective children if they need to live under your domain of insanity.
How is me wanting my kids to be active and read informational magazines a "domain of insanity?" wait, i don't think i want to hear your absurd answer.

i'm going to tell you this one last ****ing time, and every time you make another retarded post, i'm going to copy and paste it for you to read - LEGALIZING POT WILL MAKE IT A MORE COMMON THING AROUND THE HOUSE. JUST LIKE CIGARETTES AND ALCOHOL. LITTLE KIDS WILL HAVE EASIER ACCESS TO IT IF IT'S FOUND AROUND THE HOUSE. THIS WILL LEAD TO LITTLE KIDS GETTING HIGH MORE OFTEN THAN THEY ALREADY DO. THIS WILL LEAD TO A LESS PRODUCTIVE CHILDHOOD, AND A MORE CORRUPT FUTURE FOR *~-=SOME=-~* KIDS. END OF STORY.

that's what my argument has been all night, and you keep skipping over it and going off on all these tangents that aren't even related to what i'm writing. do you really want me to write it again for you?

no, once again you fail to understand things. and no i'm not running in a circle. i've stuck to my argument the entire time. it's you who goes off on tangents about the black market and butter knives. dumbass.

You are the one who said legalization would prompt more kids to sell and use it at school.

Read your posts.

You're an idiot.

what the hell are you talking about? do you even know what you're saying? are you even reading what i'm writing? god just go back and read over everything i wrote. you're so ****ing pathetic.

I did, and I understood it.

The problem is that the parents will not be sensible about their marijuana and it will therefore be easy for kids to steal. Therefore, marijuana should remain illegal for the good of the children.

That's paraphrasing you. This rests on the assumption that the majority of parents will be irresponsible with their marijuana. It also rests on the notion that the potential abuse of a substance or object is grounds enough for prohibiting it, which is irrational since that could apply to anything, from alcohol to household items.

But oh wait, you also would like to see alcohol illegalized.

You're an idiot.

How is me wanting my kids to be active and read informational magazines a "domain of insanity?" wait, i don't think i want to hear your absurd answer.

If the kind of shit-stupid trash you spout here is any indication of the informative process your kids will be subject to, then it's a shame that such young minds will be tainted and rended by such rampant illogical bile.

i'm going to tell you this one last ****ing time, and every time you make another retarded post, i'm going to copy and paste it for you to read - LEGALIZING POT WILL MAKE IT A MORE COMMON THING AROUND THE HOUSE. JUST LIKE CIGARETTES AND ALCOHOL. LITTLE KIDS WILL HAVE EASIER ACCESS TO IT IF IT'S FOUND AROUND THE HOUSE. THIS WILL LEAD TO LITTLE KIDS GETTING HIGH MORE OFTEN THAN THEY ALREADY DO. So it's a parental problem. And there will be widespread decadency across America's youth if cannabis is legalized.

BEHOLD THE HORRORS THAT LIE IN DADDY'S TOP DRAWER.

You are the one who said legalization would prompt more kids to sell and use it at school.

Read your posts.

EXACTLY. GOD THAT'S EXACTLY MY POINT, JUST ON A DIFFERENT LEVEL. YOU'RE LEARNING.

But oh wait, you also would like to see alcohol illegalized.

NO NO NO NO NO. YOU'RE NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO WHAT I WROTE... AGAIN.

LEGALIZING POT WILL MAKE IT A MORE COMMON THING AROUND THE HOUSE.

If the kind of shit-stupid trash you spout here is any indication of the informative process your kids will be subject to, then it's a shame that such young minds will be tainted and rended by such rampant illogical bile.

COMING FROM YOU... LOL

EXACTLY. GOD THAT'S EXACTLY MY POINT. YOU'RE LEARNING.

So I wasn't going off on a tangent then.

Jesus creeping shit, you're so fractured I don't think you even know what the hell you're typing out half the time.

NO NO NO NO NO. YOU'RE NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO WHAT I WROTE... AGAIN.

LEGALIZING POT WILL MAKE IT A MORE COMMON THING AROUND THE HOUSE.

Congratulations, you just said the same thing I said except with caps. ;)

This bit is interesting.

AND A MORE CORRUPT FUTURE FOR *~-=SOME=-~* KIDS. END OF STORY.

So therefore it won't be an epidemic, there won't be drastic increases of marijuana consumption by minors, and it would make more sense to address issues of abuse on an individual basis as opposed to dropping a blanket prohibition.

You are now approaching sanity! Now we just need to get you to actually understand the words coming out of your mouth.

I think this argument will not end without further violence. :cat:

I was enjoying that :(
