The film "Kalifornia" is showing at 11:00 tonight on Channel4 - its an adaptation of the book by Marc Laidlaw, so you might want to check it out to get an idea of his other works.

Its nothing like the Half Life series, but for anyone interested in the guy behind it - give it a try.

Well, it took a while to get going, but overall it was a pretty good film, a million miles away from HL.

I wonder what the book was like as it appears that Marc had absolutely no input on the film.

it was a good film, i was feeling a bit of deja vu in the middle, and worked out i've seen some of it before years ago. Wasnt this film banned in some countries or something?

It has nothing to do AT ALL with Marc's book. He said that in many interviews.

And you guys call yourselves Half-Life fans ... ;(

Marc Laidlaw: No connection. I liked the movie, though. And we undoubtedly sold a few copies of the book after the movie came out.
