edit: The guy they modeled the main character after looks very familiar...
It's modeled after actor Sam Witwer - who's also doing the voice over for the apprentice.
Grand Admiral Thrawn ftw!
I think it was mentioned in the story preview video dealie that there will be an element of choice, you can go bad or like... really bad, I guess. Whether or not this effects the level progression or just gives you different dialogue/cutscenes remains to be seen.I've also heard it's 100% linear, which could suck.
Seriously, this. The Star Wars movies suck, and any true fan knows it. Star Wars fans tend to hate Star Wars in general, in fact.
I still really enjoyed JA but it was actually more of an expansion pack for JO. The SP wasn't poor as such, it just wasn't nearly as good as Outcast or Jedi Knight, and the story was weak. Also Rosh.
Multiplayer was pretty good if you steered clear of JA+ servers.
Force Unleashed is one of those titles that you already know whether you'll like it or not. I know I will, I've been waiting for a Jedi Knight type game for a while now.
JA+ servers are ftw. :frown:
But then again, I used to roleplay on that shit.
Also, PC version, dammit. I don't want to settle for the half-assed Wii port.
Okay, half-assed is the wrong word; it's more accurate to say that the Wii version is being ported to the PS2, and not the PS2 to Wii, unlike most games. Still, it looks like it's just going to be a toned-down and somewhat compromised version of what the more powerful consoles are getting. When the whole euphoria engine and Digital Molecular Matter-powered destruction are why your game will be so good in the first place, taking those out seems rather silly.
It's not 1:1, but apparently there's very little delay between motions and on-screen display, and the motions do correspond properly, i.e. an up-swing of the controller corresponds to a up-swing of your lightsaber. There is strategy in the attacks used.
RP servers I had no problem with, you can leave people be on roleplay servers. I'm more pissed about the admin abuse that JA+ invoked in people.
