New album from Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park coming out soon called The Rising Tide. His band is called Fort Minor and is mostly rap, no rock rap combination.
Its pretty sick and his first single called Petrified is really good and will get stuck in your head easily. Check it out over at Fort Minor.com

Well, i like Linkin Park (equips anti-flame jacket) but not much rap in the form of P. Diddy, Snoop, Jayzeee or whoever.

No, on one level I know that 90% of this forum dislikes either rap or linkin park.

Linkin Park, to me, is just trying to bring in susceptible 10-15 year old's with their "the world's so hard, I'm breaking down" lyrics coupled with the rock/rap "music" style. Sounds like a big mess to me.

Bah. Linkin Park sounds like manufactured sugar-coated crap and Mike Shinoda's work is no different.

I've always found them to be the idiot's watered-down NIN derivative. Just angsty enough so you can be considered tormented and rebellious for listening to them, but not too much otherwise you won't get MTV's airtime!

I'm not really expecting anything landmarking, in the song "remember the name" Mike got outshined in his own song by SOB. IMO, Mike can only rap on rock-type beats and not a hip hop beat.

But I always liked linkin park, before for the lyrics (when I was in 6th grade), but now because I'm just use to them.

Yeah whatever, I liked it, Ive liked Linkin Park ever since hybrid theory and their music just gets me pumped up before a football game and stuff like that, I think its great stuff. I am not going to totally disagree with you yet S.L. but those beats were pretty tight and he is a very good producer/song writer and his rapping is pretty fun to listen to also.
