The forums have been upgraded to vBulletin 3.0.7 which addresses a number of bug fixes and more critically some security holes that were found in earlier versions of vBulletin 3.0.x.

See here for the changelog.

I don't really know what that means, but I feel safer now. Thanks, guys!

Uhh...it's just like updating your firewall or antivirus software. It fixes security holes, bugs, and adds features.

Was this why the site was down?
No. The log rotator fell over and took Apache with it (apparently) and then the logs weren't rotating.

No idea what that means, but that's what SM said so :p

Actually, the log reached it's max size, then the rotator fell over and took apache with it, and apache couldn't restart because it couldn't open the logfile :)

3696 - BB codes with options not stripped by strip_bbcode()

bout time the fixed that... it's been annoying me for ages! :p

lol... nice to see it is now less possible for people to hack MY account :D (not that that would happen, *nudge*)

So basically that means less chance of getting the /me command back again then? :p
