Found a good article on building new gaming PC for under $1,000!

First off, I am NOT affiliated w tomshardware.com in anyway,
however I AM a rabid tomshardware.com fan!,

Tom's son just graduated high school and they posted an article on him building an entire gaming PC from scratch for under $1,000! It includes a complete list of what he used and how he fared on his first build. In my opinion this article should be required reading for all of the many teens surfing these forums for HW upgrade/build advice!

Just a little FYI for ya guys, I know we have a lot of HW newbes that lurk for some info like this.

BTW my hope here was to encourage people to brew there own rather than buy off the shelf. I am a firm believer of the home build, it empowers you with new knowledge, a sense of acomplishment, and you become your own 24/7 tech support, no waiting!

not mention that you can learn a whole snoot load about computers and electronics, hec it may even lead you to a career path!

when I look at what some people pay for a "shake the box" system from some tier one vendor, I am amazed!
