Fox News Claims London Attacks Will Work To Our Advantage

Sometimes it takes an attack to get a country alert. Sheesh if you can't stop them from happening now you certaintly won't in the future.

he doesnt care how many people poverty kills ...gh0st is more concerned that the foxnews guy was supporting his side of the fence. Partisan allegiances before human ones ...seems to be the republican motto

yawn, stop bickering over semantics.

Fox news haven't ever impressed me, hence I've never watched it.

Some more fun statements from Fox; this time from our good friend Brit Hume; their lead news anchor:

HUME: Well, maybe. The other thing is, of course, people have -- you know, the market was down. It was down yesterday, and you know, you may have had some bargain-hunting going on. I mean, my first thought when I heard -- just on a personal basis, when I heard there had been this attack and I saw the futures this morning, which were really in the tank, I thought, "Hmmm, time to buy." Others may have thought that as well. But you never know about the markets. But obviously, if the markets had behaved badly, that would obviously add to people's sense of alarm about it. But there has been a lot of reassurance coming, particularly in the way that -- partly in the way the Brits handled all this, but also in the way that officials here handled it. There seems to be no great fear that something like that is going to happen here, although there's no indication that we here had any advance warning.

Both of you. This isn't a pissing contest, I don't give a **** whose stain is higher up the wall. But your constant hyperbole about 'righties' and 'lefties' and whatever makes me want to put my head under a bus.

Enough of the 'my team is better than your team' bullshit, it's ****in' pathetic.

jondyfun you're being unfair here ..the topic is ABOUT partisanship. you cant discuss this issue without bringing up left and right because the article in question is about how certain sides of the fence use this sort of tragedy to justify THEIR agenda ...same thing happened during the madrid bombing...fox"news" was just as repulsive in their coverage back then

Ummmm... you do know you are in "Politics Discussion"?

The UK was alert, we've stopped several threats in the past, and our procedures saved many lives yesterday, because London has practiced on a mock terror event in the past.

Fox news = Bush administrations love child

he definately could of worded that better if he didnt mean to be so offensive.

Yeah, you're absolutely right, sorry people, just been really stressed out these past couple days and this article kindof tipped me over the edge.

No Limit, compare you and Stern's posts relating to mine; Stern says exactly the same thing, minus the arrogance... seriously, it's not cool

well in No Limits defense he has been attacked a lot lately ...he's where I was a few months back ..I couldnt say a word without someone jumping all over my back. If he's frustrated I dont blame him in the least, because I've felt it too

My post wasn't meant to be that hostile, I have absolutely no problems with you. But understand; I have been trying to have a moderate tone but I get attacked at every turn around here for being too partisan. Well yeah, I am a liberal so I really don't know what else people expect. This is the politics board so I am extremely opinionated as everyone should be; when you post telling me to cut it out, as others have done in the past, it gets a little annoying. But again, with a couple minor exceptions I have no problems with you nor most other people on this board, Republican or Democrat and hope people feel the same about me.

awwww... group hug :E .... seriously though, i have no quarrels with you, you're fun to argue with and seem alright.. and if you like Hershey's then you're money

Does it ever occur to anyone that this extremely polarized bipartisanship is a bit silly? I'm very liberal in my opinions and views, and outspoken about it (though not on here), but it all seems kind of childish when you look at it from a different perspective.

Like politics aren't real anymore, just some game that really doesn't accomplish much of anything.

screw that I WANT YOU ALL DEAD!!!! DEAD!!!!! ...what are we talking about?

...and who said they like Barbara Hershey? she's not bad but she's more of a yummy-mummy than a hottie

i see what you did there

i was talking about Hershey's chocolate, but she looks fairly delicious herself... maybe her AND chocolate... drizzled on her.... *prints out pic, grabs hershey's syrup and slinks away to the bathroom*

Ahem.

In the end, the ultimate aim of the war on terrorism is to kill people.
In the end, the ultimate aim of solving global warming and poverty in Africa is to save lives.

:O OH MY FREAKIN VIRGIN EARS!!!! icarusintel is man-handling himself!!!!

mmmmmmmm chocolate

Hershey's is the worst chocolate I've ever tasted, 100% serious. Every time I chewed it, the foulness just intesified. Ugh, it was disgusting not fit to be called chocolate!

Cadbury's FTW!

sorry, as an american it's what i grew up with, so that's what i instantly relate to when i think chocolate
i remember having some swiss chocolate (can;t remember the brand) that was superb... of course maybe it helped that i was in switzerland at the time, and they seemed to lack hershey's

Stern, you gave me the idea
back on topic, a lot of people in the media tend to be stupid.. i take everything they say with a grain of salt

Damn, she's probably old enough to be my mom but damn.

Speaking of chocolate; you guys need to eat european chocolate (especially polish); none of this processed American crap beats it.

I've tried austrian, swiss and belgium chocolate ..I agree ..most mainstream chocolate tastes like poo in comparison :E

oh and icarusintel make sure you dont say "minuteman" around conservatives or homosexuals ..the former will try to lynch you the latter will ask you for a "quickie" :E

all i'm saying is that we're both going to slant this however we feel fit. i feel that he probably didnt mean to offend anybody, you take the statement literally. whatever, sounds like a draw to me.

German...Chocolate...*Drools on Keyboard.*

What about Key Lime Pie? That stuff tastes pretty damn good.

He was not talking about this being a good thing because we will be all united; he was saying that this will be good thing since all the world leaders are together at the g8 summit now and will talk about terrorism instead of aid to Africa or global warming.

......

But it's important for them all to be together. I think that works to our advantage, in the Western world's advantage, for people to experience something like this together, just 500 miles from where the attacks have happened.

God, all he is saying is that is works to the West's advantage to work through this together.

you ARE to blame
I dont remember Bush giving the orders for British troops to assist in Iraq. Are you calling the British mere American puppets?

I mean hell, you cant even make a post to show your sympathy without furthering your agenda a sentence later. Disgusting. I'm glad people in the thread stopped it before it got out of hand, I could tell that is what you wanted.

This is a disaster, it certainly has the potential to cause more unification in the western world and no one can deny that is a good thing.

I don't like Fox but assuming that was what was meant by that quote then I have to agree. This can work to the Western worlds advantage.

Exactly.

Furthermore, I dont want to hear that America doesnt care about African aid. We give billions of dollars each year to help out that continent.

Finally, I have no sympathy for No Limit, it seems most of his posts include unneeded incitement egging on the right.

Again Seinfeld, this is a topic about London and how Fox claims it was a good thing. Yet you turn it into something involving giving aid to Africa, Bush, and Iraq. Why don't you, and Stern, and No Limit stay on ****ing topic.

Again Seinfeld, this is a topic about London and how Fox claims it was a good thing.

Thats the point I was attempting to address earlier, but if they keep sidestepping it then there isnt much to go on.

Then ignore thier posts, Jesus. If they side-step the topic, say "Hey, you side stepped the topic, get back on it."

Anyway, back to this. I wouldn't really call it advantagous, but it opens up the worlds eyes that terrorists are not just dead-set on the US.

Opens the worlds eyes....hmmmm....so, in order for people to "open their eyes" again to terrorism...more people have to die right? I mean..it's only human, that we respond to bad things or we do not respond at all. It's kinda sad really...I mean, people waiting for the next attack to occur.
