Fox News apologizes for fictitious Kerry story:

"A story containing false quotes attributed to Sen. John Kerry was posted on Fox News Channel's Web site for hours Friday. The article was pulled Friday afternoon and Fox News apologized.

The story, posted on foxnews.com, included phony quotes from Kerry about his performance in Thursday's debate with President Bush."

An excerpt, found on several Web sites including washingtondispatch.com, included the following inflammatory quotes:

"Didn't my nails and cuticles look great? What a good debate!"

"It's about the Supreme Court. Women should like me! I do manicures."

"I'm metrosexual, he's a cowboy."

If what CBS said was true about Bush's war record, why'd they have to retract that, eh?

Well lets review! :

1. 
   1. It was'nt a joke. It was meant to be serious, and a serious attempt of bringing Kerries service in Vietnam off the polls.
   
   2. It became false, and whats worse, it was posed as a serious allegation that even the US Supreme Court could investigate. But before any major actions could occur, it was proven wrong thanks to Microsoft word and a few good eyes.
   
   3. It was'nt a joke. Because it became false, CBS had to retract it or risk their image as a nuetral media source. But its too late for that now, the damage by the lie has already done what discovered lies do.

Lets review what you people hold so dear [This FoxNews allegation]:

Oh yea, (Why you hold it so dear, is because of the new political spin to change votes from Bush to Kerry, and you enjoy it, because its a throwback to Bush's face...when taken seriously):

It really wasn't part of the "two wrongs don't make a right" arguement. I included it because some people are making light of the situation and saying it was ok because it was just "a joke". I was merely pointing out that if someone like CNN had made that exact same "joke" there would be a huge outcry over it, and I'm somehow doubting that many of those people defending this case as a "joke" would be quite so inclined to do so in that hypothetical case I used.

"Screaming there heads off" was of course a figurative exageration. Sorry if it offended. I think the extremes of both parties are guilty of this. It was just an expression to demonstrate my point. Perhaps I shouldn't have said it though.
