Has anyone come across any VALUABLE info rating graphics cards on performance versus dollars? IE... the bang for your buck?

I realize that some forum dwellers here are of the "Damn the wallet full speed ahead!" variety. BUT not all of us can spend $400 on a new card, and have to weigh other factor$ in as well.

the dollar vs performance conversation never seems to come up when we argue ATI vs. Nvidia. Why is this?

It seems like a 9600/5700 would be the best bang for the buck cards at the moment.

The 5900XT is also a good deal i believe.

Digit-Life has pretty good ratings based on your budget.
500$,250$ and 100$
