i dont know why everyone has so many problems with fps i get 100 and a casual 130fps using a nvidia geforce 5200 fx........and everything on high.........

intel pentium 4 2.80ghz cpu 512 mb of ram

I don't really get it either I get 40 fps on my radeon 9000 mobility.

i get about 40fps with 1600x1200 max everything 16xAF (no AA because it doesnt work in the beta) thats with 9800 pro, 2600+, 512mb ddr

*Thinks about braging like mindless people about her computer*

Nah...

I'm getting crappy FPS too lately... Like 80-150, when I usually get 30-50.

That's because you default to dx8

:afro:

has anyone actually got AA to work? (and i dont mean setting it in options menu i mean actually seeing it working in-game) because on mine, it doesnt seem to be working, maybe a bug in the beta? ive tried setting it in my graphics card settings and in the cs: source settings, but the edges are still jagged. anyone actually got it working? could u take pictures with and without?

I get a nice 80fps in 1280x768 4xAA/16xAF. :D
You, sir, is on my deathlist ;)

Sidenote: People with have lousy overall performance, bad drivers, lousy processors, old cards. Or even too high settings (FSAA & AF primarily). There's much that could explain the problems. I for one have a lousy processor which I blame everything on :)

wtf... i have a 9800pro(128), P4 2ghz, 1gb RAM, Asus P4b266-C
why do i choke at 17or fewer fps whenever I see anyone?

this is at med or low settings as well...

I have new ati drivers. what else do I need?

Try downloading the latest drivers for your chipset!

processer makes about a 1-2% differnce on your FPs so you cant blame that....
