Frame Rate...

hey,
i have been wanting to know what sort of frame rate i'm getting when playing CS:S and Half-Life 2 but everytime i press the console button (~`) nothing happens. does anyone know why this is happening?

also if you could tell me what to type when it starts to work.

Go to keyboard in the optoins, then advanced and check console. Then type cl_showfps 1 or net_graph 3.

for hl2 i just put in the console: cl_showfps 1.

oh yeah to get console up, you can either change the target path by right-clicking on a hl2 shortcut (assuming you have made one) and adding "-console" to the target at the end. Or an easier way is just to go to keyboard then advanced and checking the console on.

you have to enable it under the options menu, then the advanced menu of one of the headings. 'enable developer console' or something like that
