"Sturdy Corning glass from 1962 could be a multibillion winner in frameless TV market"

"Frames could be made thinner than a dime."

About a year ago, I wondered if they could make monitors without any border at all, which would be ideal for multiple monitor setups. Imagine no frame separating the monitors.

^Nah, that's no good.

My Droid uses gorilla glass for it's screen, and it's definitely as sturdy as claimed. Not one scratch since I got it.

That would be pretty boss, if they don't charge 2000 dollars for a monitor with it.

They said it adds $30 to $60 to the price of a television, so I'm assuming that it would be on the low end for an average sized monitor. Maybe less in the long run, I would think, as prices come down.

$60 doesn't seem much for extra-strong glass, tbh.

That sounds a little cheap to me. They could easily charge more for it.

Also, I've wanted this for years. About damn time.
