Fraps

I just got the full version of fraps and it instantly closes whenever I open it. I made sure I have the latest drivers and everything else it says to. I can see the window pop up for a split second and close right away. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

you tried a complete uninstall and then a re-install? Also check you don't have an older version installed, maybe a trial version before you bought/acquired the full version.

I've tried to run the newer versions of Fraps and it wont open at all for me.
Weird stuff...

I made sure I deleted the older version first, I have also tried to close as many background apps I could to make sure nothing was interfering with it.

Got it working all of a sudden, not sure what I did to fix it but it works. However in games when I try and use it to record a movie it goes from 70fps to 5. I have a 3500+ and 6800gt and 2x74gb raptor drives in raid-0. Why am I taking such an FPS hit?

That also happens with my "full" version of fraps. I would love to know how to fix this too becuase I would like to record more than 30 seconds.
