because i have no games for my pc and i'm saving up my money for an xbox 360

On underdogs.org you have snatcher and old and very good cyberpunk adventure from Hideo kojima. It's so good that maddox considers it the best game ever.

According to my friend it wasn't meant to be free, apparently they planned to release it along with a single player version but it screwed up so they ended up just releasing the multiplayer version for free.

yes it was supposed to be part of the Return to Castle Wolfenstein expansion pack ..but the single player part of it got dropped (presumably because they wanted to make Rtcw2 on the doom3 engine) and since the multiplayer was almost complete they decided to release it

was my fave game for almost 2 years

I loved "The Dig." That game was beast. If you can get that game off underdogs or scumm, definately get it.

The Day of the Tentacle was my favourite, though, I was like, 7 when I was playing those games.

I loved "The Dig." That game was beast. If you can get that game off underdogs or scumm, definately get it.

Oh... I have 2 copies sitting beside me, I think there is a third one somewhere around here.
I also have the first 2 monkey islands.
Whoa. Star Trek Academy, brings back the memories.

I've found atleast 20 games to play, by looking in a stack of CDs. They are all old, but fun.

Monkey Madness. I have it, praise, I can actually play Monkey Island 1 and 2.

I love that game played it for a few years. Definatley worth the download. Did someone say that they are making a rtcw2? Is this just speculation or is this a fact?

in an interview a few years back someone from Id said they were in negotiations with a 3rd party developer ...never heard anything since. did say it would be on the doom3 engine

Also, there are free remakes of King's Quest games here. I haven't tried them out yet, so I'm not sure how close they are to the originals.

And then there's old shareware games here. Most of those game's full versions are on the abandonware sites, but the shareware versions on dosgames.com are actually legal...

I had found a superb exploit with the slap command.

When someone is dead but not in limbo and you slap him, he will be revived with full health but his counter will show 0hp. That's not the good part, the good part is that while you can move, shoot and jump, you still look like a corpse to other people! Shanking galore!

Then one of the server ops removed it .

I think it only worked on ETPub, I'm not sure, our server switched from Shrub to Pro to Pub back to Pro , all this confusion.

heheh ya same with vanilla rtcw ..my fave command was the one where you flipped the players controls around so up is down left is right and so on ...if I had a persistent tker constantly bothering players I'd do the flip control thingy ..within seconds the player would promise not to do it again as long as I set his controls back to normal (little did he know all he had to do was rejoin the server)
