For only 9.95$ extra, you'll get three Steambots that will say random statements at random intervals (it can also say it at timed intervals). When you play a game, they will congratulate or flame you depending on your progress.

For example:
You kill another player in Counter-Strike : Source.
All three bots might then say (but not limited to):
Lawl pwnt
omfg n1
rofl
lol

I'm looking forward to it getting back online, i've met alot of people through CS and DOD who i added to friends, who i've not ever spoken to since as i only had their steam names. I'm hoping the new friends will let me see all my old contacts again and not have deleted them :| Nonetheless, glad its nearly back.

I was a bit iffy myself, but I hated when people ghosted, so I think VALVe had to do something about it.

I hope it's not complete restriction of ANY user to be able to IM someone mid-game... Perhaps only those in the same server (thus if you aren't connected to the server, how are you supposed to feed them info? You can't!)

I was a bit iffy myself, but I hated when people ghosted, so I think VALVe had to do something about it.

To be honest, i can't actually think of an alternative, i'm disappointed the answer is as simple as that, but i'm sure they'll find a way to get around it.

Ghosting would be like me dead and you alive telling you where guys are n etc..

They should add a server option for admins that can decide if dead people can chat with alive people on their friends list.

-This why it's server based, if someone dosn't like it they can play a diff server.
-I'd add options on who can talk to who, examples:
Ct Dead to Alive Ct
Ct Alive to Dead Ct
Ct Alive to Alive Ct
Ct Dead to Dead Ct

T Dead to Alive Ct
T Alive to Dead Ct
T Alive to Alive Ct
T Dead to Dead Ct

Ct Dead to Alive T
Ct Alive to Dead T
Ct Alive to Alive T
Ct Dead to Dead T

Add these all admin based options and you have a nice easy flexible system that a user can just switch servers to one they like.
Obviously some things like Dead T to Dead T would be stupid cuz you can just do that in game, but you all get my point.
