Gonna say, I enjoyed the pilot of it, filed like the X-files, some Denzel Washington type of thriller, Lost of course (its a JJ show, trades will pass) & a small trace of Millennium.

I know it was a pilot and some of the music was used from other shows, but the Aliens music in the show didn't suit it, the Sunshine music on the other hand does fit nicely.

I hope this show doesn't turn cheesy like Alias, god...

Another thing, that writing floating about, i couldn't help but think of jokes for that "Johnson! move that text off the street, someone could hurt themselves" or "I love the new governments plan to erected large text over cities to help aircraft pilots find the right city."

The writers of Transformers?
Yeah real promising. :|

Looks interesting though, how'd you see the pilot if it premieres in the Fall? ;)

I saw J.J. Abrams and immediately gave up hope. Why watch trailers and read synopses when I'm still not going to know what the **** happened after I actually see it?

I'm feeling way too skeptical lately...

Yeah, that trailer was vague as f*ck all.

Too much shit going on in that youtube video. Goes from crazy shit happens in a airplane then it gets linked to experiments for teleportation, reanimation and stuff to who knows what science is capable of. Pretty cool thought though.

Someone is feeling bitch, just get your hands on the pilot, and then you can make up your mind, the show isn't half bad, the real star of the show will your bald black guy from lost, there doing a Locke again, creepy and not very clear but will steal the show by the 3rd episode.

So the program is out now? what does everyone thingy poo's

Meh.
Another show with a badass female protagonist that f*cks everyone she meets and has to save the people she loves in every episode, except throw her into The X-Files and you get Fringe.

It's an alright show, based on the first episode.

Love the idea, hated the delivery. Very crappy acting. Tons of great possibilities though if they get their act together on directing. Go Mighty Ducks

The first episode was interesting. Reminded me of Dark Sector

Interesting, they certainly are capable of making a fair amount of episodes.

It would be interesting if they managed to make this show as captivating as Lost, but we would have to see a few more episodes to see where it leads

This version seemed a bit tighter than the one that got leaked, though the writers have some quaint ideas regarding what a massive injection of LSD is likely to do to someone, or how capable/competent they are likely to be in the days afterwards.

Still FBI birdie has something of the Cate Blanchetts about her, which is no bad thing in my book so I'll be tuning in for more to see how it plays out.

video.google.co.uk

then search, and narrow down search to longer than >20 minutes

Twenty minutes in, and... boy this is bad. The premise is okay, but by god the acting and direction is just so terribly, terribly awful it hurts.

Really don't see why you guys think that the acting is bad.
It's not that noticeable to the point of cringing.

I rather enjoyed it. It's a mix between The X-Files, The Twilight Zone and Lost. They could have picked a better and more appealing lead actress but Joshua Jackson and the old guy did a fine job imo.
We'll see how it turns out in the upcoming episodes.

It was fine, looking forward to the next episode to see how it unfolds.

I don't get what's so bad about the acting either, though Joshua Jackson was a bit annoying and cheesy sometimes.

The show get better after 30 mins, they just have to build backstory.

I'm gonna keep an eye on it for a few weeks, but the pilot struck me as having too many people involved in the creation. Feels very much like JJ Abrams wrote a treatment, then it got punched up by the writers of 24 or something. About ever half an hour the style and feel of the whole thing seemed to alter more than I'd expect, as if it's another persons influence on certain scenes.

Not sure if anyone is still following this, but did anyone catch the 4th episode? it had a massive gman vibe.

I'm liking this show, really intriguing.

I see a serious relationship in the future of Joshua Jackson and the chick though. :|
It's going to happen and it's going to f*ck up the show.

Walter makes me laugh each episode, its a good cheese show.

I'm glad I now have something to look forward to on TV again. I'm immensely enjoying this show.

Also, bad acting? Are you people serious? Are you saying John Noble is a bad actor? Really?

Man, third episode I thought was borderline brilliant, and unexpectedly a lot better than the first. Then the fourth airs yesterday, and while it's got some intriguing stuff in it, the execution of the ideas took a nosedive again. It still feels very much like someone at Fox took a look at the original script, decided it was boring, and inserted ray guns and silly looking props.

The bald G-Man aka The Observer was definitely a nice addition to the cast.
Walter's the best though. I hope that they don't cancel it. This needs time to build up its characters and mythology.

Yeah, some of the soundwave gun stuff was awesome, but then some of it wasn't. I'm going to keep watching, because there's potential here, but I hope they don't squander it.

The good thing about yesterday's episode that it brought in Mr observer and the capsule which will play in the long term of the bigger story, the previous 3 episodes before that were about cases where they just kinda did their own thing.

The previous cases were also about how Massive Dynamic was connected to all the bad stuff going down. Introducing a new faction helps it from becoming a clear cut "FBI versus evil corporation" thing.

Very true. But, it was already apparent since the first episode that MD has a connection with The Pattern. So I should say middle 2 episodes instead. I guess they can pass as important fillers so the viewer can get to know the characters better.

Just watched the pilot episode and overall it's OK. But the gimmick with the 3d location text thing is really facepalm inducing... I really don't like
the intro and music. The acting seemed fine to me.

And the story revolves around the evil super corporation that has technology at least 50 years ahead of the rest of the world.... yeah right.

Come on man, everybody's known for the past ten years that Microsoft owns a giant robot equipped with death ray technology.

Microsoft has an Avatar mech? Cool, I want one.:P

Finished watching the first 4 episodes, and my reaction so far...

-babies that grow faster than the speed of light
-mind reading devices
-sonic disruptor guns
-subteranian torpedoes

I mean come on...
Don't get me wrong the show is entertaining, but it just requires a bit too much suspense of disbelief in my opinion.
The story and weird technologies would've been slightly more believable if the action was taking place some time in the future.

A mole torpedo that can burn through the Earth's crust with an intense energy field, first being spotted 10 years ago? A technology like this isn't possible now, even less so 10 years ago.... Unless they are all from teh futurez!!11

Oh well, we'll see how this show develops.

It's actually an unnecessarily dramatic lead-in to the new Star Trek series. Just you watch.

I was fearful every ep it was going to be another case of 'let's go to massive dynamic to borrow their neat tools', however this episode advanced things quite a bit. The observer was a neat touch. Looking forward to the rest of the season and yes, John Noble is excellent.

This show is horrid. It's a shakey-cam ripoff of CSI mixed with the X-files. Horrible, stupid plots, dumb, cliche'd charachters, terrible, histrionic acting.
