Fringe

Are you sure we're watching the same show?

Something about this show keeps me watching. House is still supreme though. The only reason I stumbled on this show was because it took House's original time slot :P

This show is horrid. It's a shakey-cam ripoff of CSI mixed with the X-files. Horrible, stupid plots, dumb, cliche'd charachters, terrible, histrionic acting.

1. shakey-cam?

it's shot like every other show, pan shots, stand still talk shots, chase camera.

2. ripoff of CSI mixed with the X-files.

I've seen nobody investigating a crime scene for more than 2 mins and not doing like CSI does.

As for the X-file, I partly agree, but also disagree, in the x-files, the two agents were trying to get others to believe but no one would believe them, in Fringe, they have no trouble in others believing them, everything seems to be more open to the team, but not completely covered up.

The X-files thing seems to be fading away in my eyes, as the x-files had a deeper mystery to it while FRINGE wants to tell you the answers but isn't about to hand the keys to the car over just yet.

3. Horrible, stupid plots, dumb, cliche'd charachters, terrible, histrionic acting.

Horrible, terrible: I'll give my judgment on that till the season is over.

Stupid plots, dumb: (those are the same things) It's building up something, something that will give us a bloody nose.

cliche'd charachters: Really? Examples please.

histrionic acting: No, I believe you're referring to Terminator: TSCC's

This show is great, f*ck the haters.

Been loving this show, I missed this weeks episode, though. :(

I just realised one thing - don't you think the main character looks a bit like Jade Raymond (not saying it's a good thing)?

Anna Torv (FROM FRINGE)

Look nothing alike.

I saw the first episode and thought it was pretty.....poorly laid out. Great idea and story, but the acting and the way the story unfolded was kind of silly to me.

I may give it another shot at a later time, but for now....I didn't enjoy it enough to watch more.

the 2nd and third episodes seem to set a formula for the show, but the 4th actually departs from it and was quite intriging.

Also I'd say Anna Torv has more of the young cate Blanchettes about her. Which is no bad thing.

So anyone been catching this show lately, from 5 to 10 its been good and meh episodes, the lastest deals with a time machine! D:

I had hope for this show, mainly because i like Walter but it's starting to get very silly. \

Kidnap various people gifted over a several years time span, solve mathematic equation then use the vibration/wall penetration device to go through walls and steal boxes spread all over the usa. Finally, put together a teleportation device found in the boxes to extract a dude locked up in prison. What!?
They through all that stuff, just to get a guy out of prison?

*sniff sniff What's that i smell? Oh,plot holes!

KILLER BUTTERFLIES! F*** YEAH!!

Well, it was actually just a hallucination :(

Well, I mean, it's a cliffhanger. so that we'll want to watch the finale in Jan.
Which I will.

*sniff sniff What's that i smell? Oh,plot holes!

No, what you're smelling is bull shit, and this show is full of it. I thought it was interesting for the first few episodes but now I find myself not caring about any of the characters or whatever strange/stupid thing is happening right now...

It's the pattern!11 *spooky music* give me a break...

I think it's getting gradually more even in it's quality and slowly becoming better, but I'll have to see if it sustains that pattern.

Also, I really doubt that getting that guy out of prison was really the entire point, more likely just a convenient test.

Anybody watched new episode? It was pretty good, bad guy Mitchell Loeb was so awesome.

Yep. More twists and turns. I just hope that this doesn't turn into 'Lost'.

Cold viruses! Big-ass cold viruses!

I'm so happy this show is back.

So the show's gotten better? I lost interest after the 6th episode.

I'm glad it's back as well. It's a shame that mitchells been revealed though..I was liking his turn as a double agent.

Mitchell Loeb is definitely the coolest character in Fringe, I hope that someone will teleport him out like Jones or do something like that.

Anyone else see this weeks episode? Have to say the show is getting pretty darn good now. I'm intrigued as to what's happened to the chemist.

Ugh. Gotta wait till April for next episode.

Anyway, am i the only one that thinks that Walter Bishop is William Bell?

That would be a firm way to jump the shark given the guy's supposed to have been locked up for all these years. I suspect whomever plays Bell will probably be a decent actor (someone like Brian Cox springs to mind). But given that we're at the tip of the iceberg they probably don't need to cast for quite some time.

No more episodes till April now?......:|

Indeed, excellent episode. Misstel Jones was probably rescued again by his co-conspirators.
Now we must wait 54 days to see next episode. :(

I have to say I was also impressed with this episode. If they can introduce a viable backstory like they're hinting at, this could become something very interesting.

This is J. J. Abrams that we're talking about here. Lost has been jumping sharks since day one.

Seriously though. It makes sense if you think about it.
We don't know much about Walter's history besides the fact that he is mentally unstable. His son was never around. For all we know, he could have multiple identity disorder and William Bell is his alter ego. The Asylum was a cover. Yes, he was in it for several years. However, when William Bell appeared, he could exit it and do as he pleases. Then you have the latest episode with the type writer revelation.

I think it would stretch credibility too the limits if it turned out that the guy who allegedly runs Massive Dynamic was really Walter Bishop. As regards LOST, Abrams has just been collecting a producer cheque from that for the last 3 seasons.
