Hello,


I would like to introduce my new mod:


FrozenFish
for Half-Life 2


FrozenFish is a Multiplayer Mod for Half-Life 2 featuring exclusively throwable weaponry like:


-Frozen Fish
-Orange
-Brick
-Bottle
-Another Fish


The only basic rule in this mainly FFA Deathmatch mod is that only direct hits to the head have lethal effect. The gameplay will focus around skillfully throwing and at the same time avoiding to let a Frozen Fish (tm) have contact with ones head.



For the development of the mod, a coder is needed. A complete Design Doc is written listing all required Code/Art Assets. This is not an epic Total Conversion requiring years of development time. With this stated, I would liek to express that Someone with reasonable coding experience should have no problems.

I am still looking for a reasonably skilled coder. The code necessary could be easily coded by an ENTRY LEVEL Coder who has basic HL2 experience.

I'll give your coding position a try... I've fiddled with C/C++ and Python for about a year, and a very small bit of Java. Thing is, I haven't worked with HL2 much, my programming experience is from server/gametype mods for CoD2. I should be able to learn quickly, as atleast 75% of what I know was self-taught with experimentation. I'd love to help though, sounds like fun :) I'll PM you my email if you think I'd be able to do it.

Brick seems a bit small to me... Might just be odd angle though.
 
I would like to presend 2 Screenshots showing 2 very different settings for our maps.


The weapons available will reflect the map setting. Expect oranges near Orange trees in the palace garden and bricks and other rundown gear in the lower map.


Also our website has been redesigned and is featuring a forum now.

WTF FROZENFISH FTW!

I once had the SAME IDEA! I even started to model the fish. But anyway, id like to help out with this mod. It looks awesome. Ive very good at webdesign, and have 5gig webspace with 250gig bandwith a month. I can also model, not very complex but alright. SO if you need help just holla!

Oh and just a little crit, I dont like the brick. Looks too red and unrealistic and small. And too simple. Anyway nice work. Oh, and wheres your website located at?
